Oktoberfest at the Hofbräuhaus in Munchen is very special - LOTS of Gemütlichkeit there!

Yes, Munich rocks, Oktoberfest is good but very mainstream ... smaller but better partys like that and good prices, too you'll find a little bit outside from Munich! :D

I lived there for about some years but meanwhile I live in Fürth, near Nürnberg (Nuremberg)

Kronos X workstation starting at $3199.

If you click the ad it has their yellow "just arrived" advertisement on it. It says scheduled to ship August 8, 2012.

That's like in 2 weeks....
Sheesh, what a tease. At first I think Guitar Center said 7/24, then it was 7/31, and now it is 8/8. At least Sweetwater had the decency to just say "August". That's believable.

Well, not that i care since i now have my Kronos, but if the ETAs of the original K are any indications, i wouldn't take any dates for granted. In Canada, we were supposed to see it in April, then May, then June... I got mine in October 2011, yep, the one i pre-ordered in January.

I don't think it will be as bad this time since the product actually exists and hopefully the Japanese won't suffer another natural disaster, still...

clipnotic wrote:I don't know who is accountable for that prices but such prices proper provoke a bad mood. If it's not Korg but our german local Korg importer, Korg should correct him, because it will be Korg which will get an too expensive reputation ... !

Their RRP for the 61 X version = 3926 EUR ( = 4772 $ ) ??

Perhaps that's the reason that a germany guy like me has so much wishes? I will have to pay much money for that machine! ;)

EDIT:
Yes it includes VAT but the price above, too or ?
that's quite expensive, you can better order one in holland with those prices you have to pay, in holland the street prices (including VAT) for the Kronos X are:
61 keys: 3299 euro (4,044.57 USD)
73 keys: 3699 euro (4,534.97 USD)
88 keys: 3999 euro (4,902.77 USD)

so the added amount for the extra Gb and the larger SSD is 300 euro (367.799 USD).

the 'old' models are:
61 keys: 2999 euro (3,676.77 USD)
73 keys: 3399 euro (4,167.17 USD)
88 keys: 3699 euro (4,534.97 USD)

@QuiRobinez:

Thank you but the price I wrote in that post you quote is only the RRP = recommend retail price (I hope my translator translated that well this time? :) )

The german prices are the same like in holland:

61 X: 3299,00 EUR
73 X: 3699,00 EUR
88 X: 3999,00 EUR

No idea why you would consider the source of such information to be privileged.

OK, you are living in a wonderful country !! :)
As far as I know, and correct me if I'm wrong, it is not the case that you don't have to pay sales tax. The state that sells the item does not collect sales tax from you. But you are supposed to declare that you bought the item and pay sales tax to your own state. (Different states have different sales tax rates.) But most people don't do this because it's too easy to get away with it. It's not really enforced.

Kronos X is already available in Japan for

61 X 238,000 yen ($3090 US)
76 X 268,000 yen ($3480 US)
88 X 298,000 yen ($3870 US)

Prices include tax. If you buy these keyboards in Akihabara and have your passport, you won't have to pay taxes....so you will save a few hundred bucks.

The price of the Kronos 61 is approx $1000 cheaper than it was 1 yr ago.

It seems that the prices in Japan are a lot lower than in Europe.

Shhhhhhh! You shouldn't let it be widely known that you are aware of that! :) :)
