Wow, Sharp, I know you are a long time contributor to this forum and of all people, I expected you to be able to think outside the box. I guess I was wrong.Sharp wrote:True, it's certainly an option.Maybe so, but a $3 cable is cheaper.
Considering the fact that you are working with more than one PC though, it's not exactly ideal.
It does work though so well done.
At a gig ? lol... Really...!!!!Plus, it doesnt seem practical to take a wifi extender to a gig.
Nobody transfers files at a gig.
Regards
Sharp.
Perhaps if you're not happy with the quality of help available on the forums you should complain to the forum owner.tmatos75 wrote:Wow, Sharp, I know you are a long time contributor to this forum and of all people, I expected you to be able to think outside the box. At my gigs, I usually have the setlist in advance, but sometimes, such as weddings, we misjudge the crowd and have to re-work our set on the spot.
Since I have my laptop hooked up to my kronos anyway, its a lot simpler for me to ftp the kronos pcg file and run ONKSOR to reorder the setlist and then send it back to the kronos, than to use a USB stick.
So for me, using a crossover cable is the perfect solution for transferring data between the kronos and my laptop, but I guess thats just me.
Thanks for p*ssing in my cornflakes.
I thought the purpose of this forum was to share ideas, not ridicule them.
In the future I will just sponge off this forum and keep what I learn and discover on my kronos to myself.
Thanks
Your method does allow you to transfer files, nobody said otherwise.Wow, Sharp, I know you are a long time contributor to this forum and of all people, I expected you to be able to think outside the box. I guess I was wrong.

Thanks for the video as well as the excellent guidance on the topic. Instead of fumbling my way to a solution, the forums have again provided a crisp solution to a problem and I appreciate the help!Sharp wrote:

sharp I think he was referring to the comment about "nobody transferring files at gigs"Sharp wrote:Hi tmatos75.
Clearly you have the wrong end of the sick here entirely.

My reason for replying to this thread was to actually show there was an option that did in fact make the KRONOS truly and 100% available over Wi-Fi.
