There is no Korg warranty because it's non-transferrable. This is always the case with used models, even if they're a week old. I bought all my boards second hand and none of them has ever let me down. Only my Karma's pitchbend broke, and it happened out of warranty even though I bought it new. I agree to caution and looking for possible alternative warranty options, but I think you just got talked out of a pretty sweet deal. I doubt you'll see even any real second-hand Kronoses on eBay for that amount soon.

I think the Kronos 61 and other sizes will drop in price due to the X and the Krome( I know this is not a Kronos) and the following factors.
Retailers are under pressure to clear out the 1st gen Kronos. Used Kronos can be found. There is no problem with supply here in the US. This will put pressure on previous high prices and I think wise shoppers can cut very good deals over the next few months.

I went there on saturday tested it out they are giving me a warranty for 50.00 regular 180 and I got the disks and manual . i tried it out for 45 minutes and found out its 2 months old . I will get it and they said i can bring it back in 20 days and get a full refund . So I guess I will try this out . my birthday is this month so its time to celebrate . Thank you for all your help Greg C

That was a good deal. The warranty makes it so. Also, the fact of the guitar center's selling it as opposed to a private seller makes it more viable. They are far more likely to try to resolve a complaint and/or make an effort to satisfy a customer. Hope you enjoy your new purchase.
