Guy,
I bought MS3 last weeked, but the CPU usage is very high...If I use a standard exemple (Quick Setup => Keybord), no AU, no Kontakt....CPU is 160%.
I read various articles, tried different solutions and did a full re-install (OSX, MS, Logic Pro...) and the problem is the same.
Please, someone have same problem?
I use Macbook Pro (2011), I5, 8GB, SSD 480 Gb - OSX 10.8.4, Logic Pro 9, MS3.
Really thanks
Rubinho

160%?
What does that even mean?
Are you using the Kronos as soundcard? What are your buffer/latency settings?

I will detail:
- tested using the Kronos as audio interface and also using the internal macbook card, but CPU usage is the same.
- also tested different latency settings ... the impact is also small.
With Logic Pro 64bits or Kontakt stand alone, I never had problems ...
Below some prints with examples and settings.
I appreciate your support.

If it happens also when you're using the internal soundcard it would seem to be a problem with Mainstage.
That said, have you actually experienced any dropouts or sound glitches?

in fact no...I saw a high temperature (90 ceulsiu) and a decrease in performance (due to the large CPU usage).
I'll keep looking ... the problem seems to me to be an isolated problem, I mean, I understand that other friends do not experience this problem.
Really thanks again.

90 degrees C is way too high, it is possibly a problem with your fan. Music software is pretty unique in the sense that it needs high cpu performance almost constantly.
Other software usually comes down to periods of intensive use followed by periods of idleness.

Some news!!!
1 - Opened an old patch (Create for MS2) - there are a
lot of instruments...the usage =
21%
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hcj57yonyukky ... .10.40.png
2 - Create a new file with only a Electric Piano (but using the new controls / engine) -
CPU = 26%
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4ddfns5qaj9l8 ... .14.11.png
3 - Other file with only a new organ -
CPU = 60%

So I'll keep moving....

Bought my Kronos last week, and had this issue with MainStage. Great advice, I changed MainStage to 48K and it fixed it straight away. No pitching problems now. Awesome!

I installed the latest OS yesterday, and now I have the MainStage pitch problem. I've tried everything I can think of; the sample rates match and everything seems correct but the pitch is off. Only through the Kronos, the internal sound card and my Apollo both sound fine. Does anyone have any clues?!

Problem solved - I switched back to the internal sound card, changed that to 48000 instead of 44100 and then back to the Kronos - strange solution, but it worked!
