Ok thanks Daz.
Are the MS200 patches included with the librarian download?

No, but you can grab all the Korg MS2000 and MS2000B patches from here : http://www.korgforums.com/misc/MS2000_ALL.zip

Enjoy :-)

You should be able to load MS2000 patches into a microKorg. The few that use splits (i.e. splitting the two available timbres to different zones on the keyboard) might not work because I don't believe the microKorg supports that. The sysex of both instruments is pretty much interchangeable. The microKorg has some additional features like the ability to enable/disable arp steps, but these additional features are squeezed into the same format sysex messages used by the MS2000.

Thanks Daz, (and djconrad) it worked like a charm. It was VERY cool to hear all those MS2000 patches coming out of the microKorg. I used the SNOIZE SysEx Librarian and the factory patches. Everything sounded perfect. I'm psyched. It's like getting 2 instruments in one. : >

I am just getting around to trying Daz's MS2000 software with my mK and it's awesome - many thanks.

I have been having issues with the Korg mK Librarian software, but Daz's seems to work through my MAudio Firewire 410 just fine.

Is there any functionality for backing up patches to sysex on the mac/pc?

What is the best way to save custom patches that are neither ms2000 nor mK presets?

For the Mac check out the free sysex librarian from snoize.com ... that's what I use, and it works well for throwing data around. Their MIDI monitor app is a "must have" on your Mac too !

I figured, but wanted to ask just to verify. Your app along with snoize and the mK editor seems like the magic trio now that I have them all working.

The only thing that I can't figure out is the Play function in snoize... this seems to neither send the patch back to my mK or let me audition a sound like the ms2000 librarian. Recording patches seems to work.

Hi!

D/L the editor and it starts up fine. But when I try to audition a sound it says something about midi error. / I wish I had it before me right now so I could be more precise).

If i run Sysex Liberian there is no problem at all. I dl the version from this page perhaps there is a more recent update around?

Regards!

You will see an error if you haven't set the MIDI port/channel to use in the Preferences.

Hi!

This is what I get

"Audition Failed - check MIDI Preferences."

I have set the right interface and mid channel. If I use Sysex Liberian same settings I can send/recieve SysEx data.

BTW Thanks for the OS upgrade. Went very well :)

Thanks!

Are you running the latest version ? http://daz.korgforums.com/MS2KLib16UB.zip

When you the set MIDI preferences, do they appear to be remembered by the application ?
