Pro Tools and Reaper in use here. Reaper gets the most use because it uses much less computer resources and is used by the other musicians I am collaborating with. Pro Tools gives good results where I have used it but is more difficult for me to interface with. That is because I have to refresh my mind when I decide to use it again.

I use Cubase and Ableton Live both..
Although I use Ableton mainly for live performances so I've voted Cubase here which is where most of my recording and songwriting happens.. In fact the external sync in Ableton can be so bad that I still end up recording my loops and samples into Cubase and transfering them to Ableton afterwards!
I've always had a bad feeling about protools.. It looks great, but the specific hardware limitation and other elements of their licensing strategy seem to be aimed purely at exploiting their 'industry standard' position. In my experience just because something becomes an 'industry standard' or at least 'popular' does not necessarily mean it is good value for money or even a particularly great product (just look at Windows and Office for example).

Sorry I don't fully understand what I would loose!
Pro tools is the standard professional production DAW that I see in use, I don't see cubase used much.
I also see Sequoia, Pyramix and Sadie used far more than Cubase.
Home usage and small studios may use cubase more I suppose, it would be interesting to see some figures.
