If the Behringer FCB1010 Can provide midi control of fills, then so can an Ipad (with an App), if you have one.

True.

I've already tested it with my PC and some quickly written macros to send the Program Change data to the PA600. Works like a charm.

The FCB-1010 is just the ticket for me as I can really use the expression pedals. (as well as the 10 pads)

Thoraldus...thank you. That was a very useful post. It sounds like I should be able to meet my needs with the Behringer...I'll check it out.

Thanks so much and God bless!

Thoraldus, would you perhaps be able to give a detailed step-by-step instruction of how to set up the Access to the fills using the Behringer - settings both on the Keyboard and on the Behringer? For $149 it definitely is a great answer...very flexible too!

Thanks and God bless!

I don't have the FCB-1010 yet, but there are some tutorials for it on Youtube. You might want to start there.

cheers,
Rick

Here are the Program Change #'s for the Style elements ...

80 Intro 1
81 Intro 2
82 Intro 3/Count In
83 Variation 1
84 Variation 2
85 Variation 3
86 Variation 4
87 Fill 1
88 Fill 2
89 Fill 3
90 Fill 4
91 Break
92 Ending 1
93 Ending 2
94 Ending 3

Just sending the PC# to the midi control channel will activate the selected style element.

I would probably set up the PA600 to receive control data on channel 16. (GLOBAL > MIDI > MIDI IN CHANNEL > 16 = Control)

Then set up the FCB1010 to output the desired style element PC# to channel 16. PAD 1 = FILL 1 = PC#87 etc.

cheers,
Rick

Fill functions are already included in OS (as I wrote ) , just 3-5 damned switches are missing to activate them ,
that's the insane !
Please reread my post. That's EXACTLY what I was pointing out above. You can add the switches needed if you really want that feature. You also get a bonus with the FCB1010 - you can add a LOT more control functions to the PA600. I'l be adding an FCB1010 to my setup shortly. I need a Swell pedal for all the organ music I play. ;-)
Rick I'm really glad you are thinking of the FCB1010 I will know where to go and get some help. I think that the FCB1010 compliments the PA600 it really free's up the hands. Just think change STS/Fills/endings/ I havn't got around to using a pedal for rotary work but it'll come one day lol! Anybody using a Mac I strongly recommend the iFCB software about £15 GBP and a doddle to programme.
