I realize that political discussion can rage and get emotional.

But IA people are very respectful and very cool. And Music/art has frequently reflected world issues.

I am confident we can communicate a preference and still respect each other. The poll is perfectly ok in my book.

I'm not just a Kerry supporter, I'm also a volunteer (a few hours a week) for the Kerry campaign here in Oregon. Two weeks ago I was banging on doors. Last week I manned a campaign table at a local farmers market. I'm taking this weekend off, but next week I'll be back doing something else.

I hope every one gets there votes in soon. As this Poll will self destruct after 14 days of its creation. I set it to run for 14 days because, if it did get out of hand.....
Anyway If I had a vote for real. I would vote Kerry.

one of the dumbest things (as an American) I keep hearing is who people would vote for when they don't live in the US. Here's a good similar scenario:

I'm running a baseball team. I can choose between 2 players that I know nothing about but I only get one. Do I ask my opponents who I should choose or someone who I know is looking out for my best interests that I trust? If I ask my opponent, they are going to choose the one that is best for *THEM*, not me. Now tack on the fact that Kerry is more anti-American than any candidate in previous history (which supports the jealous anti-American sentiment by France and Germany), it's an obvious answer:

BUSH! BUSH! BUSH!

Ya have to admit, it's pretty sad that he *LOST* ground during and after his own convention. That's because people started to see what a phoney he really is.

Well this was bound to happen.

There are Bush Zombies everywhere.

God help us if he gets elected another 4 years.

Time to shut down the thread, I think

Well at least some of us [Kerry and Bush supporters] can conduct ourselves as adults, and for some of us , it's really not that difficult.

We all live in an International Community here at IA. Personally , whether you like either one,[Kerry or Bush] I think the broad view of someone we in US are considering as leader, is a welcomed point of view. I know for a fact that though Prime Minister Tony Blair is not my leader per say, He does however effect the politics of ours. So , there you have it. As the World community grows, we all have a stake in each others leadership choices.

And that is not a Bad thing. Don't let the comments of a few stop us from sharing good ideas. Even though I'm for Bush, and seemed to be outnumbered in this view, I respect my comrads of other convictions "And" different "Homelands"!

Odinmoon said it right, We should be glad we can Vote, so where ever your society alows for that, excercise that right! Best of luck in your upcomming elections.

There's nothing wrong with having an opinion about the US presidential race regardless of where one lives or which country one is a citizen of. Whoever becomes the US president will have an impact, to a greater or lesser degree, on the rest of the world. It is silly and naive to take the position that people outside the US should not have an opinion about something that will affect their lives to some extent or another.

Thanks guys. I feel the same as what Marcus and RiotNrrd Said. :)
I didn't want any one to take offence in this post. I think that If a country doesnt listen to World opinion. well need I say more. I was nearly drafted for Vietnam. I was lucky not to go by one year. Though as Army cadet I still went through the fear of what if? But that wasn't only Australias choice. that choice came from Other countries as well. And the United nations are countries making choices together. So even though I don't have a right to vote I still feel that I have a right for an opinion. :) Any way I feel this post was good entertainment for all of us at IA. Hey and by the amount of replys I think that I did my job. Congratulations to us for showing maturity on this post. :D And thanks to the people that have responded. Yes and we have our own elections to worry about. But I wont post a poll for that because I'm sure Most out there wouldn't even know who was running in our country. well Ill tell you ITS BUSH.

Much to do about nothing

This illuminates little of what is going to happen. Statistically this poll is not very representative of even where the IA audience is. Study statistics basics and you understand who is likely to respond to this question posted. Check out a credible poll like zogby if you really want to see where people are in the country. It can always change but Kerry's camp is more concerned at the moment. We will see. It seems to change every day.
