I've been a Korg fan since 1973. That was when I bought my first synthesizer. A Minikorg. My signature has a list of my keyboard arsenal. Yes. I DO suffer from GAS! However, I only take my Kronos 73 out to gig with.
As for writing, I like to write a lot of prog style songs which for me are somewhat classical in that the music quite often has a myriad of themes.
I'm classically trained as a pianist so I do know the difference. My point is that I don't find all the different sounds distracting from my writing. I did at first though. Now, I've got a handle on them so that I know where to go to get a particular flavour.
I would be very curious to see what so done would , come up with using classical themes and styles but with different textures then what are traditionly used.
It might not work at all but it could be a good exercise in sound and music.
AND it could be fun!

I've had the same thought, but it would not work for me right now. I live in a historic apartment building with strict noise rules, so headphones and small monitors are as loud as I can get for now.Bertotti wrote:Kompozer why not find a used acoustic upright?
JPWC -- Wow, what a list! Thanks for sharing.

I was incorrect in my naming - it's actually the "vintage analog" expansion card. It is a PCMCIA card that goes in the expansion slot in the back. It adds a "C" bank with a bunch of sounds that sound a lot warmer and more analog than the stock sounds. The card is really rare and I paid waaay to much for it on Ebay via an international sale when I found it (after almost a year of searching). Once I got in and started playing with it, I found a few cool presets I liked, but nothing I really couldn't recreate reasonably well with the Kronos.phil55 wrote:what is this? I think there may actually be a sysex dump of it floating around the internet somewhere. If you track that down, you could replace either the A or B bank with it and check it out for yourself. I wish I would have known that before I shelled out what I did for it.
