Cool, is the QY10 easy to program?

You just have to get used to it. Reasonable amount of menu diving to get parameters right. You can make a couple bars and copy/paste through out.

I can get the qy10 start and stop and clock the beats - I cant get it to actually program the beats however.

I can get it to program/play the Bass - I must be doing something wrong with mapping the Drum kit -

I've tried various combination Maps but none of them seem to Play the Beats' individual instruments.

I only use the Tr1-4 channels on the qy10, get the Beats on the respective midi channel and the sounds should be there. The sounds are spread out a bit.

I think you need to get the QY10 to send out MIDI channels of individual voices to the Volca Beats. I have a QY10 and I believe this is found under 'utilities'. Also, match the Volca MIDI channel with the QY10, ie 10, if using the drum sequences of the QY10.

I use an Arturia Beatsep MIDI'ed to a QY10 and a Volca Beats and CV/Gate to Modular as a sequencer.

I have a QY70 that I hope to use as the sequencer. The electribe is new to me (as in it's in the mail on it's way)
I hope you fine folks could help guide me through the midi maze and I, of course, will divulge any knowledge I glean from experimentation on the combination.

Patterning is awesome as it lets you make polyrythmics sequences and has a song mode as well as sending midi clock:
