Amazon Japan says: tomorrow. Maybe the sampler unit will delayed because the software is more complex than the synth unit.

That's good. I wonder if my former rep was messing with me. We'll see when they hit the US shores.

Did you have to pay over the odds ? I did the math & for the Japan price i can get an Akai mpx8 sampler on top in the UK....Well, for a few pounds more.

Yeah, I know I will!
I previously had the EMX-1 and sold it cause I thought a DAW would replace it. It sure didn't. The workflow on the Electribe is so smooth, and now with Ableton Support for each sound....wow..just wow...
I feel like a little kid again, waiting for Tekken 3 to release

HYPE HYPE HYPE!

I think there's nothing like a good electribe to get into, a d.a.w is a different world. If it were not for this new development i think i'd be out of the electronic music scene. I've always been strictly hardware person, these kind of machines spark something in me but if i sit in front of a computer screen i just end up switching it off. I might investigate ableton if it benefits me with the new tribe but that is a big might.

Wow! Congratulations, that's a great deal!

Do you have to pay much in extra taxes in Europe when buying from Japan?

I do not mind that they ship it with Ableton Live and it has some features aimed towards Live users. No problem at all.
The only thing I dislike is the fact that, unless you only use Live for arrangment, combining an electribe with a daw destroys my workflow. I am using NI's Maschine for about two years and it is great. Nevertheless, my EMX can do a lof ot things and sounds differently, and I know a lot of people who record patterns from the EMX and then process them which does not make sense to me. I prefer working with software only or hardware only. Everything in between is way to complicated for me and kills my inspiration.

I may have to pay 20% on top, but I also may not. It depends how lucky I am. I don't care though. I've been wanting it so much and I can't wait another second now!

Why don't they release in the rest of the world. Obviously, the electribe works just fine. Why do we have to wait? At least, Korg could release a release date.

Olivander, think about it. They'll release in Europe and US as soon as they can manufacture and ship enough units. Sea transportation from Asia takes time. It's also really hard to set a solid release date in advance when there are so many variables in the logistics.
