I remember on the SP forums you are really into the microSampler. I am glad there is still a place for the MS in peoples studios.jbl wrote:So I found this just now:

the seems to be a fancier volca sample for all intents and purposes. From everything I've seen the microsampler still excels at actual sampling. However, for making multi layered music using snippets and waveforms, the e2s looks great...
When I get my ES2 I am pretty much expecting a supped up microSampler. The issues I had with the MS was for one thing, not being able to save specific settings to memory and the constant menu diving when editing your samples. The Volca Sample's huge advantage is that all of your sample edit needs are right on the front of the box...all knobs! The ES2 seems fall somewhere in between the advantages of the Volca Sampler and the MS / microSampler. Not everything sample edit related is at the top of the box but the controls/knob that are there, cover the things I would want as far as editing my samples live.
When Korg made the E2, they really just made a super Kaossilator Pro. It would have been nice if Korg could have put a bit more memory into the ES2 and made it more like a super Kaoss Pad 3...to me still the best live sampler on the planet.
I look forward to getting my ES2.
