Yeah, watching his drum lessons is so fun - he's the embodiment of joy. And you can learn something, especially if his style is way outside your electronic genre. You'll get inspired to try something new even if your drum set is a 16-step sequencer.

The E2 is most definitely FUN as hell!!! It's the most fun I've had making music in quite awhile and I own a metric s**t-ton of gear, (hardware and soft-ware.)

The menu-diving is not an issue for me at all. The short-cuts make it super fast and simple. It's great to use as an "idea/sketch pad," and as Tarekith mentioned it's cool to have a dedicated piece of music hard-ware to carry around anywhere and make music.

Currently, my E2 is one piece of a hard-ware set-up that is so much fun to play I can barely peel myself away from it to eat and sleep! Honestly!!!

The thing I love most about the Electribe though, is that it is a musical instrument that you practice and get better at. You create and play and find work-arounds and tricks, techniques and your own personal style of doing things. Each person will use it differently and come up w/ their own methods.
I've been playing guitar for my whole life and so I have developed my own style and my own sound. The E2 is similar in that you can get GOOD at it!! That's why I love hard-ware and in particular GrOoVe-BoXeS.

So, YES, IMHO, the Electribe is lot's of FUN and I highly recommend it!
