Kronos STOLEN!

Stolen
Sorry to hear about all your gear. I hope you get it back.
A note on insurance riders - I had a rider added to my home policy for my guitars --- granted that I'm an amateur, and my stuff stays at home. Many may think this was an unnecessary expense, but it was only a few extra dollars, and would lessen any bickering if something happened. I think I will add my new Kronos to the rider list.

NuSkoolTone,
All we seem to hear in the world is doom and gloom but that's the best piece of news I've read this year.
FANTASTIC! Great to know it's all untouched too.
I've never been on Facebook but I will be now!
Not telling you to suck eggs but as well as the Insurance if you haven't already got them, then get yourself a decent 4 channel NVR and at least a pair of 3MP Static 1080p HD Qvis IR CCTV cameras, or better still for the extra cover, get the PTZ versions. A good PTZ camera may be expensive but believe me it's worth having.
Cover your drive at least with one of them. They may not stop scummy low-life thieves but they are often caught by just clothing identity alone.
With an NVR you can network the live images to your phone or iPad anywhere on the planet...providing you can get a signal of course.
If you've never seen the images these things produce you'll be amazed at how good they are in pitch black darkness. In daytime it's like watching the best quality Colour TV money can buy.
Some insurance firms will give a discount for properties covered by CCTV - so you may win a little there.
Good luck.
Regards,
MC

Super! Could be that collective vigilance and hope played a role. Regardless, glad you have everything back.NuSkoolTone wrote:FOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very glad to hear everything was recovered. Also sad to hear that something like that happened in my neck of the woods.
For insurance (liability and equipment coverage) I can recommend http://www.nameentertainers.com/ as being very affordable for good coverage and they specialize in mobile entertainment so there are some other benefits to using them.
Good luck and happy to hear things worked out ok.

I wouldn't be surprised if the truck was NOT actually stolen... sounds to me like the truck ended up where it was because someone was drunk...?
Either way, glad to hear things worked out. You got a second chance, and now you're going to make sure you get insurance. What a roller coaster ride of emotions that whole incident was, eh?

A fair amount has been said about insurance and policies.
What's the company that denied the claim? I personally had Allstate tell me that music gear in my home was not covered despite a police report re: the gun stuck in my face and all of my at-home (practice) gear (not my "pro" in-use touring gear) being stolen.
If I'd known more I would've known that that was a line of BS designed to make me give up. I did. On that claim and on Allstate. Lesson learned.
There is a limit to what basic coverage is for stuff stolen from your vehicle and it's probably way less than your list, but you can get a "pro" rider for gear that is transported regularly. It's not high risk if it's stored in a locked vehicle (prudent precaution) at home.
A list can be photo evidence - got iPhone?
Above all, there are no stupid questions. Find an agent you trust. Ask "what if" question, including under what circumstances a claim would be denied.

I'm confused. How did the vehicle of the keys in it if it was stolen from your driveway while you guys were sleeping?
With all of the gear inside, YOU LEFT THE KEYS IN IT?!

YUP! My wife sure did! We know she's never doing THAT again! I managed to keep my cool and not go after her about it, it wasn't going to solve anything and she already had TREMENDOUS guilt. Besides, we ALL make mistakes. Now the reward is I'm her HERO!McHale wrote:I'm confused. How did the vehicle of the keys in it if it was stolen from your driveway while you guys were sleeping?
