Would be great to have copy bar to next bar. As it is right now there isn't an easy way to do this other than manually edit the note data or replay the part. Sure the first time you expand the length of a pattern the data gets duplicated, but after that it's a by painstaking. Would be nice.

I could see reverb insert fx being cpu intensive. I'd be even happy with a reverb bus. Essentially have a pattern setting reverb on and off with some parameters. I know on Korg Gadget they have a reverb bus. This is pretty major though.

Enter notes via pads on step edit - yes! Even if there was a way to enter notes via the touchpad while in step edit would be awesome. A missed opportunity for sure. I've been using Step Jump to get around this but any improvements are helpful.

Much happier with the Electribe the second time around.
ifx reverb would be nice, but that bar copy. . . . if i get that im so happyy :)

Here's a few that come to mind:

- Realtime performance transpose function, allowing to follow scale mode setting. Destructive transpose per bar and other edit tools, like shifting sequence rhythm-wise would be neat as well.

- Step edit for motion sequence data.

- Actual arpeggiator would be nice.

- Ability to swap ROM sounds for the e2 would make it a dream. I want korg to know this wouldn't prevent me from buying more of their products.

Haha, even though its perfectly possible and probably easy to add a "sample" editor for PCM sounds in the E2, Korg will not do this. Remove all those vocal sounds and other odd stuff and replace them with 100's of single cycle waveforms :D

u r so right... I stopped using those vocals. They become cheesy after a few usages. Utube has plenty of songs/jams where with closed eyes, u can recognize the e2 by those 100 cheesy PCMs

I love the vocal sounds myself, pitched way up or down you can make some really cool textures that sound nothing like the orginal samples IMO.

I'd prefer a sample editor like the Volca has. A simple app will do. But Korg will never let us change the samples inside the non-sampler version.

Scale Mode

Scale Mode to be severely fixed and needs to be a global option. These are the features that need to be affected once Scale Mode is engaged/selected:

Along with all parts being set to the same scale and key globally.

1. Step Edit In-Key and Scale. Step Edit would only select notes that are only in the key and scale of the set pattern scale

2. Pitch Control In-Scale and Key. Pitch Control will only shift to pitches that are in key and scale of the the pattern key and scale. Basically a free form transpose with in key and scale.

3. Note Over-Write. This would be on parts that are not in the patterns note and scale when you select write/save pattern. At this moment when you engage scale mode on part or pattern that is of a different scale it just masks over the original scale with the new one, but does not over the original notes. Ex. if you have a pattern in F in Ionian and you copied a part from a pattern in C Minor over to your Ionian pattern it will stay in minor until you engage Scale Mode. Once Scale mode is on then that minor part is changed to the Ionian scale to match the rest of the other parts but it is not a permanent change. The suggestion I have is if you write save the pattern then the note changes to the part, made by scale mode, become permanent.

Jump Step

Jump Step needs a little more work.

1. Jump Step In-Time. First off, like everyone else has pointed out, Jump Step only jumps in time when you hit pad 1 or pad 5.
Jump Step needs to be in time all the time, even when changing how many pads you hold down.

2. Jump Step Hold. There needs to be toggle option for the pads one uses in Jump Step. This could be activated if the Jump Step button is held down, like a hold feature. Then the button would blink letting the user know the Jump Step is on hold. Once you are in Jump Start while it is in hold mode you hit the Jump Step button again the deactivate the hold.

3. Jump Step Write Function. Any Jump Step pads on "Hold" will over write all sequence information when Write/Save is initiated. This would be particularly useful if you have discovered a really cool beat from Jump Start and would like that to be your pattern.

with these little UI tweaks , non requiring extra processing power, the Electribe could be a really amazing uniquely usable unit.
Please, Japanese gods of groovebox firmware development, listen to this guy!

Truncate for the sampler. Why is nobody requesting truncate?
And a 'copy/paste to new' feature in sample edit mode so we can sample a drum break and then easily chop into new samples, the time slice doesn't always have the chop points covered.

Facilities for sequencing external midi, such as muting individual channels midi output while switching the corresponding internal synth part on and off.

1.Greater sequencer resolution - we have the groove templates but sometimes it would be nice to play the groove in.

2.mute memory/mute scenes it seems silly to use a different pattern just to have a few parts muted especially as pattern change needs improving. Whilst in mute mode the bar select/pad transpose keys are redundant

3.step edit make it more fun

4.screen I want more info in general but it definitely needs the original value display. The Osc edit knob can change things so much its scary.

5.reverb We need it on inserts

6.jag filter wtf
