Lots of people jailbreak their iPhones, doesn't mean I want to do it too for instance.
Where does official KORG stand on e2 and e2s firmware??

Guys been using firmware updates to hack cameras for at least half a decade- probably much longer. A teensy minority of the users would ever go near using them.
The camera world hasn't collapsed - the manufacturers are under no obligation to "respond" to anybody nor amend their cameras in the face of the hacks. Some have chosen to react in their own way but there's no bill of rights requiring they do.
Just because some kids throw a brick through one of your windows and crap on the rug doesn't require you to smash every other window, unlock the door and provide future vandals with cookie and milk.

Ans that's a kind analogy to describe what's happened here.

Korg will ignore this, so whats up? A bunch of freaks hacked our machine and they will buy more machines, wheres the problem?

It's been a few days now. Yes, unfortunately, Korg will ignore this, in fact they already have.rowf wrote:Korg will ignore this, so whats up? A bunch of freaks hacked our machine and they will buy more machines, wheres the problem?
This is really sad and disappointing.
In fact, I am willing to go as far as to say that Korg really had nothing planned what so ever. James Pullen's remarks about Korg, I now believe, were nothing more than just stories to trigger our friend rowf and the rest of the FB group...probably because he was pissed off he couldn't do this him self.

Nobody is demanding a response from Korg and as far as i can see, nobody feels that they are entitled to a response either.
Information from Korg has been scant about the new Electribes from day one. As a response to this silence, people speculate. And here we have something major happening, someone has turned one of Korg's products into a different Korg product, simply snd without fuss (minus the crappy onboard samples and patterns). I would LOVE to hear what Korg have to say about this. I don't think it's something they can ignore, even if their only response is to take definite measures to prevent it happening in the future. Folk are just interested y'know?

If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Oh no? Let's take a look at the first post:apapdop wrote:Nobody is demanding a response from Korg and as far as i can see, nobody feels that they are entitled to a response either.
Sounds pretty demanding to me.Villainmedia13 wrote:Surprised I've missed or there hasn't been some official response to the e2 to e2s hack!
Speak up!
What are your intentions?
Let us owners know the "truth" "intentions" first hand.
Rumours and speculation are making a mockery of these two boxes and Korg.
Cheers!
I guess I should be pissed Ford never commented on my modified F-150. THE BASTARDS!

Tell you what, i'll meet you halfway.... In the absence of any form of the words "demand" and "entitled" i'd say the post is "open to user interpretation".
