Hi Keith, the software that you see was Kat2000 for older pa's I believe. Just my opinion here, I think that the GUI [Graphical User Interface] of Babosh's software is probably only a temporary solution while the software is being developed as that is the main priority.....I feel sure that it will be a more 'glossy' interface when everything is as it should be. :)

Hello jnow,

I just clicked on the link and it loads with no problem. Maybe your PC's security software is blocking the sites it is not familiar with. I could be wrong but that is just a suggestions. Best of luck.

It's because rather than bogging down the forum with test results, fixes, discussion about how things should and should not work, many of us are working by email in the background to assist Babosh. Babosh has been very busy. This is the greatest development for the Pa keyboards since Korg launched OS2.

Hello dear Rob,

It is always a pleasure to hear from you. Thanks for the respond. I was just joking. Indeed this is the greatest development for the Pa keyboards. I know you all are busy helping Babosh and It is really nice to have a good team testing the software for him, since he does not have a keyboard. Imagine if he had one.....

Best regards,

Fahim

Hi Youni, have you tried a System Restore to before your troubles started?

Have you cleaned the Registry of broken program links by using a Registry editor?

Just a couple of things you can do before taking drastic steps...

Hi Willem, you have to copy the ID and send it back to Babosh via email and he will then send you another ID code to paste into the program. It will then open all functions :)

Hi all,

Let me start with current status.
As Rob mentioned, we are doing testing and bugs reporting via mail now.
Actually Rob did a test on version 1.0.27 and reported the bugs / missing functionality, I have taken that list and made a new Problem Notes document to track the bugs and fix them then report about fixed bugs in each release

Many THANKS goes to Rob for his support/ideas.

The Software Status:
Implementing New SET (empty) functionality, only style files are implemented
Adding new STY files to existing sets (empty STY file)
Copy Styles per Drag/Drop between to instances
Auto-change of sounds in the imported styles/sts, the user should import the sounds manually from the source SETs, according to the Import Report generated by the software. This is a very important step towards the full automatic merging of sets.

Regarding the STS, please note that STS is not just a title, it is a section in the STS part of the style, and even KAT2000 shows its info, here:

Hi Babosh,

This is the explanation for the confusion about "STS" data.

In the Pa keyboards there is a set of data associated with a style which Korg call a "Style Performance" which also includes the volume and pan settings for all 16 tracks as well as an additional set of sounds for each track. Let's look at what Korg tell us about this "Style Performance" data:
Korg Pa2x User Guide wrote:You can assign different Sounds to the Style tracks, overriding the Sounds recorded into each Style Element pattern. These Sounds can be saved into a Performance or Style Performance with the “Write Performance” or “Write Current Style Performance” commands. Assigned Sounds, with this parameter turned on, are shown in the Sounds area of the display.

Note: When a user assigns a Sound to a Style track in the track/mixer display, the “Original Style Sounds” parameter is automatically turned off.

Note: The "original style sounds" parameter can be saved with the Performance or Style Performance, and is automatically set to On or Off when you select a different Performance or Style, depending on the saved status with the style that is selected. On Style tracks always use the original Sounds recorded in each Style Element. If you assign a different Sound to a Style track, this parameter is automatically set to Off.
What you currently call "STS" is in fact a subset of the "Style Performance" data which your software and KAT2000 are displaying at the top of the STS Tree. All users know it as the "Style Performance" data and so it would save a lot of confusion to have it named as such in the editor. A simple change, eh?

It would also be very nice, just like with KAT2000, to be able to edit the other parameters associated with this "Style Performance" data which includes track volume, pan setting (CNT, L50, R50), octave transpose etc.

Best regards,
Rob
