Nothing to really hype about, other than it exists and it came out in 2007. The members of this forum have been very, very gracious about the whole process, from input and opinions and their reaction to the finished DVD. The disc shows a very simplistic presentation and it is rough around the edges. I had never attempted making a tutorial before. A fellow forumite requested that I do this and I thought, "What the hell?" I'm not an engineer type, either. I think some people liked seeing a fellow user share his take on it.

I remember thinking that I was going to cover the entire OASYS, on one DVD. Once I took it on, I realized I could only cover about a third of what I wanted to, even at 3 hours, 17 minutes. Programs, Combis, Disk management, etc. would need to be on a separate edition. KARMA on possibly another.

My humor is very dry and some probably took me serious, when they saw me use the camera's microphone to absorb static discharge, before opening the OASYS. And, I don't really sing as bad as shown on the brief sequencer demo, but that's okay that people think I sound like that. The point about perfect pitch was made. :>)

Some trivia: There is an error, at the beginning of the Intro to Interface. I was unaware that the Audio Inputs 1 and 2 could accept both XLR and 1/4" mic connections, so ignore what I say about using XLR adapters. :)

If you don't like the tutorial, there is a nifty short subject on there, as an extra. I see your order and I do thank you for it!

Thanks for your detailed reply and you're welcome about the order.

I plan to watch the DVD sometime in August-September (when I get free time from work e.t.c.) so I'll note the XLR adapter discrepancy.

I'll have a lookout for your humour, the YouTube video of your vocoder singing, was quite bad and I didn't know it was on purpose to amplify the "perfect pitch" capability of the vocoder.
And here I thought we were the only people on the planet to sing awfully and now I realise its perhaps just me :)

I realise (or I guess) that the DVD is for "beginners" so I would hope you would complete the tutorial and delve into Programs, talk about each and every single option available in all the EXi's.

I look forward to the DVD and will let you know my opinion of it once I watch it. :)

Just got the DVD today. Thanks.

The casing was broken due to insufficient protective packaging, but thats ok, its just a standard DVD jewel case, so easily replaceable.
The DVD disc seems ok :)

I'll watch it in August and let you know my opinion.......

Hi Mike,

I'm a new member & just ordered your DVD.
I don't even have my Oasys yet (leaving to pick it up in 4 hours) I am so excited!

Anyway, this will be my first Korg so I'll need all the help I can get.
I want to thank you for making the DVD and helping guys like me out.
Your efforts are appreciated.

AJ :)
