Fantastic update, Dan. Often I have wanted to edit various programs within a combination I was developing. This is great news. However, will the edited program(s) be specific to the combi once I save that combi? In other words will the original factory preset remain unaltered in it's original program location? Or must I save the altered/edited program to a user bank location as well so as not to overwrite any factory preset?
Cheers,

Thanks, Dan, for your information and all the good work. Great update! I have two remaining questions that I believe have not been answered yet: is the EXs18 - KORG EXs Collections and the new sound set going to be available for current Kronos (X) users? Is it going to free of charge as part of the OS3 update?

The Karo set will be 49 bucks introductory price (99 normally), the Berlin Grand is TBA.

I hope it won't be anywhere near the price of the Austrian grand!

Thanks SanderXpander, it's just that the Karo set EXs19 seems to be differento from the Korg set EXs18 that is probably going to be needed for (some of) the new programs and combis. I hope Dan can clarify.

That's why I was guesstimating. Politely. I never said I must be correct in my assessment. However, that it didn't seem a difficult thing to do (say, adding a whole new engine in there, for example), I really think that's not a bad guess.

danatkorg wrote: the ability to edit Programs in the context of Combinations and Songs,

Hi Dan,

Does this mean I can have a combo being sequenced externally on multiple channels and edit a program that is part of it and hear the changes as well as all the other channels?
Yes!

So the Master Plan is being unleashed.

The competition must be a little peeved. This level of update ability is amazing.

Korg are really ahead of the game.

Many of the features in this update are requested features. I shall certainly be benefiting greatly from the vast majority. Thank you Dan & co!
I wonder if the touch and drag feature will apply to the waveform display in sampling?

That's a very impressive list of updates. There's a reason I own three of these things. :) Thank you Korg for being innovative and for listening to your customers. You've left your competition in the dust.

Load Required Samples
If a Program, Combination, or Song uses EXs, User Sample Bank, or Sampling Mode data which is not currently loaded, the Samples Not Loaded message appears at the top of the display. You can now use the Load required samples command to load all of the required samples in a single step.

I hadn't seen this before, this is HUGE!!
Does this mean I can (for instance) NOT load the Korg Legendary Strings EXs, check which programs I like (I suppose I would have done that before when I did have the samples loaded), then save a new KSC which includes only those samples?
Yes.
Wow Dan!!! The benefit I see from this update is getting better and better!

This is incredibly useful from my view, because I often would like to use only certain parts of existing sample libraries and build a streamlined autostart KSC for my purposes from there.

This update is the second time since user streaming, that the Kronos gets a HUGE usability jump.

I really love every little thing in your feature list. You should add setlist transpose, or did I overlook that in your overview?
