My old one, 448, is now essentially a tone module for my S80.
They let you keep it? Thats awesome!
Yeah, they did. The insurance company said it would cost them more to part it out than it was worth to them since they don't normally handle this kind of thing. Since they were just going to trash it, they let me keep it!

Of course PinkFloydDudi, we're not really cousins anymore!
Thats really cool. What a great tone module!

Took me a minute to figure out what you meant with the cousins comment...I was like "wait I'm related to him?"

We are still cousins though, yours is now just that annoying cousin that sits in the corner of the room at family parties that everyone thinks is "broken". haha.

Replacement K73 serial No. 001678 received on 16 December, after returning original No. 000886 to the shop due to the famous note cut-off & double-striking problem. Am I perhaps one of the so called 1% who got the RH3 keybed fault???
I lived with it for a while, but it soon became too frustrating, so I rang the shop and they agreed without quibble to swap it - very good of them.
On Sunday I played the replacement via midi from a Yamaha clavinova at our Carol Service and it sounded great. No cut-off problems at all, although the real test will be playing it at home for longer periods.
However, the shop called today and they have not been able (after a brief play on No.886) to replicate problem - which is very odd.
My main concern is that I fear I may experience the same note cut-off with the replacement! - only time will tell.
I believe we have reached now mid-December so have Korg technicians found a cure yet?

Very odd indeed.
Which is why the problem has yet to be solved.

It seems that more and more Kronosses are getting in stock now in Europe.

It looks that way, but according the store owner (Key Music Mechelen), the Kronos 88 is still very hard to get.
