Every store I've called, including the one I pre-ordered from has said early December.

Damn I guess December it is...What happened to Fall promotion...huh Korg?

Anyhow, I really wish they talked more about effects...damn, so f*ck*ng "cagey" about the effects.

Now that street price was off the chain; $329!!!!!...Oh wait the reviewer, quietly, said"UK Pounds". So it is still $400.

Wow if the electribe sampler was $329 as well I guess I will have to get both.
The sampler version is being listed at $650 in Australia.. Wtf!! (Emx2 is at $529)

329 is british pounds. Its going to be 400 for us in America. And more elsewhere, etc.

Either way, its a good price for what you get. actually surprisingly cheap, if you think about how much the volcas cost.

I noticed in the filters I only saw: Acid, electribe (bah!), ms20, moog, prophet5, oberheim...that's 6 for LPF. Interesting if theres different modeling for the hpf and bpf.

I was interested before I saw the video, but kind of sceptical that I'd buy one. Now I'm quite certain one will come home with me sooner rather than later. I'd love to hear it paired with the EMX, trading off parts of a song.

That would actually make sense...For the sampler to have as many cool options as the the EMX2 version plus it does have it's own synth engine, that's actually pretty cool. Now if it samples as easily as the KP3 or the microsampler then that really justifies why the sampler version would be higher than the music station version we hope to see in December (should be released in November...grumble grumble grumble).

It is a wise move from Korg to release the synth version before the sampler. If released simultaneously, I might have gone for just the sampler; now I'm definately getting both  :D

I doubt it was deliberate...I'll bet someone in marketing thought it was vital to be in stores for Christmas and only the synth version was close enough to being ready.

Don't know if this was mentioned yet: Mistabishi Song--all Electribe posted back in June (before the announcement!)

So do we know if the new electribes will be able to sequence external gear via midi? And can they export/import midi pattern data?
