Hi everyone What is this about OS. 2 ?
What I don't understand about these ppl is that right now they are rushing with what ever they can to get the OS 2 ... and then they start complaining about everything (bugs, errors and etc.)
Be patient and lets give Korg all the time they need so we get something usefull.
Regards Demo

Hi Demonstrator,
your right you dont understand. I almost hate replying to this, as it takes away from the important threads, which need no introduction from me

Yes I'm getting impatient too, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait, just for the 24 new styles and the DNC alone

i was listen to the tyros3 demo and there was a beautiful clarinet sound with kind of stretching, and my question is if someone now if the os2 will have sounds like the clarinet on the tyros3.
thanks.

I am going to take a good gamble and say yes ! You have to remember that to move from Tyros 2 to 3 you need to spend a lot of money to do so, now the whole point of OS2 is one of competition, i.e we as Korg customers are getting this kind of upgrade for free, yes we need to remember this point. If you ask nedim about this or read his post earlier on in this thread, he said when he played the pa2x with OS2 he would use the 2 assignable switches on the new voices for different effects, just like Tyros 3. So imho I would say that Korg will have produced some very impressive sounds with DNC. I for one can't wait. C'mon Korg.
P.S. Tyros is a 61 letter dirty word.

I agree, that is a super Clarinet SA2 on the T3.
The PA has a nice set of Clarinet samples, so even if the DNC Clarinet is not one of the new voices...you can use DNC functions to make your own DNC Clarinet...Try that with a Tyros...No way to make your own SA2 voices.
Don't know how hard it is to all that yet...but were told the DNC functions are available to use for user sounds.

Hi Lee,
Will there be a manual on how to create our own DNC sounds?

Yes, There will be a document with the OS2 to outline any new functions, bug fixes etc...as always.

Hello artemiasalina,
Of course - the new DNC Sounds will be available everywhere, Style Play, Song Play, Sound Play. And you will be able to edit existing sounds and turn them into DNC sounds.

Hello Rob,
How are you?
Do you know if we can print the result using the score function of OS 2.0?

Dimitris

Hello Dimitri,
Nice to hear from you. The screen image for score display can be captured via the VIF4 interface board and a video screen grabber, and then you can print it. But there is no printer interface currently on the Pa2x or Pa800.
I guess it would be a nice feature for Korg to add to the USB host interface, to allow screen shots to be transmitted by pressing the equivalent to the "print screen" function. But given all the other things that have been requested by users I don't think Korg would give it much priority if at all.
Best regards,
Rob
