You are right. I enjoy using the DS10, but havent used the DSi version. If my opinion is only therefore based on DS10, i can still say the audio quality is not serious (like a low quality mp3). You can achieve some interesting sounds, but there is a real lack of fidelity (not so with the great sound of the Kaossilator), so i would not use it in a professional recording alongside my other "real" hardware and software synths.
If you goal was to release on mp3 at 128kbps its possible you would not notice....

Put some effects in line? My audio will be primarily guitar and bass which will be going through effects pedals first, so not a big issue for me.

It's a good video, but I would rather see this track performed live over the Kaoss Pro, and not sequenced with a few shots showing the product played in part.
I especially like the lead part where none of the banks have been looped! A little false me thinks.

That's the power of multitracking!

And that's where you need to spend another small fortune, Korg are basically saying you can do this with the one unit.
Oh and I'm not bitter, I love the KPro, I think I'm going to be confined to using Reaper ($60 non commercial usage) alongside for the short term, I don't have bags o' cash to throw into new devices.
I was sold by the demo's out there from NAMM

Get a Boss Micro BR and you will have an incredibly powerful multitrack recording solution for a small price. It's compact and absolutely amazing (sorry Korg). Couple this with a KPro and it will be a fabulous set up for the hobbyist home recorder. It has great guitar effects on board as well. Check out my post on the 100% Kaossilator songs thread to see what you can do with a K1 and a Boss MBR.

i second the micro br...i love it, it's tiny, and with a $3 condenser mic from radio shack, i get AMAZING live recording quality if you wanted to record your sets live....

I'm interested and the cost seems reasonable to me, where's your thread?

Sorry, but thats the point were you should stop hating. The video is supa nice. the boobshot...the girls... well sex sells.
But that's one of the best promo vids I have seen lately - I'm waiting for my KPro for one month now. And reading all the bugs reported here.... but after the vid I'm really looking forward fot it again
but I'm not a pro - so maybe pro's don't like the vid
@bluemind / samartin
Of course they used multitracking, they don't need to take 200 shots for the vid by doing so. I would have multitracked it too. But it's no problem (not easy though

) to play like this live, so there is no cheating.
So - props for Korg for this nice ad
BUT PLEASE FIX ALL THE HORRIBLE BUGS!!!

I have question about polyphony on KOpro.
Does it have polyphony in midi-in control?
Cheers
