That's ridiculous, you adjust playing style all the time depending on the keyboard you're touching or the sound you have selected. That's just part of making music.

I have both the K61 and 88. I've replaced the rubber contacts on the 88 and it's quite a bit better, but still not perfect.My gigs are 90 percent piano, ranging from jazz to pop to latin to tejano, and lately, I've been using the 61 more than the 88. I'm 67 years old, and the 61 is just so much easier to lug around. The piano sound is fabulous. I used a Yamaha S90 for years, and to my ears, the Kronos is way better. I never did like Korg pianos. I thought they were horrible, but then came along the Kronos. What a difference. I've adjusted to the synth action of the K61, and I even use it to play with a jazz big band (18 piece). I have a degree in music with piano as my major instrument, and I do miss 88 weighted keys sometimes, but I manage just fine with the 61.

vstkeys, yes, you are right, - I'm yet very uncomfortable in playing piano on Kronos, and don't use pedal, as sound is not mixed like that on acoustic piano. And string resonance feature doesn't help much. It adds some unnatural ringing sound. On real piano I loved using pedal, creating natural reverb..

But it seems, that the problem is not in keybed, or not only in K. keybed, because today I've found the only very inspiring piano program on Kronos, that is

Bank UDD - 005: Classic Piano Knob6 EXs2.

It has very bright and "singing" sound, so you forget about synth keybed action and enjoy playing it.

So, I think that Korg should have sampled this piano to SXG2 engine, because every piano has its own "soul" and sound, personality, and the quality of technology just conveys it in Kronos, so in real life, if I would play that original acoustic prototype of SXG2, seemingly I would not like it very much. I know it is all subjective jugement, but luckily, due to 8+8 velocity layers, we can have in Kronos just any piano we fancy about.. But I hope Korg will release other SXG2 sample libraries of other pianos.

Also, I miss these techno sounds of Triton Extreme in Kronos. They can hardly be programmed, as K. has no controllable arpeggiator, while Triton has two polyphonic ones. May be someone will point me to some techno library for Kronos? Or program names, if it is already present. But search function in Kronos gave no results on techno keyword among programs..(

I know of Karma, but it is not tunable that much as arpeggiator. A kind of lottery game)) Only wavesequencing can be precise in what I want to do.

There's the step sequencer.

Thank you. Yes, and thanks that EXi can use samples, it is versatile. Though it's moophonic. So there's 3 step sequencers - common and individual per EXi. That's great, I miss only polyphony.
