There was a version of the case that had been discontinued but we are anticipating a new case to arrive, they are just on backorder right now. The item ID for the case for the KRONOS2 (73 key version) is HCKRONOS273BLK.

I am assuming the new case will be black, and not the grey shown on the Korg website? They also said I could pre-order it from a dealer, but I can't find that number/item at any dealer I know of?...

Where on planet Earth do you live? Just asking because your location might be a factor.

However, I cannot find anywhere else on Korg.com where I can actually order it. Does anyone have a link to the buy-now option?
Thanks,
Cal
The price is $369. It's listed on B&H here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1 ... r_new.html

I placed an order for mine a couple weeks ago (shortly after starting this thread) from a different dealer and apparently these are out of stock across the whole country. Speculation was that perhaps KorgUSA never actually placed an order from Japan for these, and I can understand the lack of demand considering how much work they did to bury the product on the website.

Presumably mine is somewhere on the Pacific Ocean now. I hope to get it sometime in the next few weeks.
FYI, I just followed up on my case that was ordered November 6th - no word yet. My dealer says that Korg is notoriously slow with delivery for cases and bags - we're 6 weeks in so far - seems like that is accurate. I will update if/when I get it.

It was a bit pricey but it's a one off cost and a perfect fit.
Do you know how heavy Korg's case is (for 88)?

Does anybody have a recommendation for a really protective hard case that is also light and doesn't kill my back and neck?
Gator GK 276.

This is what I got for my K73 - the BIG advantage is it has two handles on the top which is much easier on your back than a single handle.
It weighs 12.5Kg.
They don't make them now so the only place I could find one (new) is EBay:

I have one of those Gator cases for my Kronos X88 and it works quite well. Picked it up locally on Craigslist for $150. I have no trouble getting it where I need to. It's heavy but the wheels on the case make it less of a burden.

Anyone buying one, make sure it is this model number GK276 and not the replacement GKPE-76-TSA
- the replacement has only one handle and I struggle with the 73, so an 88 must be a killer!
