Gotta love Woody (I think???)

A lot of his comments highlight his inexperience with arrangers, particularly Korg.
Good demos and reviews require experience IMHO (e.g. Luke from Korg, Mark from Roland etc...)
I tend to listen to Woody more on the "synth/workstation" side of life except that his comments sometimes seem to be knee-jerk particularly when he is reviewing a new instrument.

He sure is a character though :D

I think like most people who don’t routinely program on arrangers they forget that in effect every single style , intro , ending , fill and break are merely “ suggestions “ to the end user .

These instruments are insanely editable ! If you took just a little more time to delve past the surface layer of the instrument and experiment just a little bit like mixing elements of styles from one genre to another or substituting sounds in a style or even merely muting elements of a style to just drum and bass , you can make easy edits that transform a style and make them amenable to many different songs .

This is what got me hooked on korg arrangers in the first place

Agreed, arrangers, particularly those in the mid and top-of-the-line range, have demonstrated a far greater degree of creativity as tools than many individuals from other segments of the electronic keyboard community's are willing to recognize.
