Broken buttons

Likewise Organizer...I'm sorry to say.
For some reason I believe that some of the parts used in the PAX is of a lesser standard.
Right/Left main out is not durable at all...and even though I do not use the others much, I have seen the print they are attached to, and regret to say that all 1/4 inch jacks are of the same quality.

I just replaced my "Audio output " board. This is the board which has all the connections e.g midi, mic inputs...etc.

I experienced the "connectivity" problems. Had problems with the mic gain....left and right outputs....... so I replaced the whole board.

I noticed on the new board the quality of components are better.

I tighter fit on the connectors.....no jiggling.

Cost of the board...$149.00CDN. (Jamm Industries, Quebec).
Now what is next to give way

Dont forget the Button problems. We are still awaiting an answear from KORG.

At this point, there is nothing new to add to what previously written. I might only say that the buttons resisted to over 200,000 test cycles, and we don't have further reports from service centers.

If anything new will arise, I'll inform you.

Please add me to the list of people with s start stop button woes. I glued it, but it's now too stiff and sequence stays permanently on. Where can I get a replacement button and a spare??? :O)

I think it must have been our "Buttons" they have used for the 200.000 test cycles

GUYS THIS IS PLASTIC PARTS, After a time it is to DRY!
And it can be easy to break them.
I buyed a gun to my son, TOY, it was broken after 2 hours.
So, that can heapen, it also depends where the PAX lives, Cold, warm climat , Dusty or direct sun, and so and so.
KORG are very nice to help People out of this kind of problem, So mail to Trammanoni, and give him a chans to give feedback.
He is a great person that KORG heave and we can use this in a friendliy way.

Korg is not TOY and not for babys. My pa1xpro have all the time stay in my house in 20-22 grade celsius and have never been hard handled. Try to read all the posting, then you will understand the probblem and look how many views of the theme

No reason and no intend to minimize the problem. But with 38 replies on the original posting, it's about 90 views per message = 90 persons if everyone involved here reads every new posting on this topic. When I look down in the list I see a posting from Bill Komotini "PA2X WITH 2677 €" with zero replies, but 214 views. That must be an interesting topic???

But in all fairness, I agree this shouldn't happen with such an expensive toy, oh sorry, professional arranger. And now it does occur, it would be a positive gesture when Korg addressed it in a professional (admit the problem) and customerfriendly (no charge?) way.

Hello Kjeld;

I read thru the dialog posted 2/5/07 regarding broken buttons on the Pa1x. You mentioned that you have worked as a tech for many years and I'm hoping that you can advise me. My "red start button" switch has gone subterranean and will not return from it's hole. In other words it will not snap back up into position. It is stuck down in the hole and cocked slightly forward.

My question? ~ "If I take it apart will I be able to retrieve it, or should I first order a new switch?" and also " Is the switch soldered in position or does it have the spade type connectors?" Can you venture a guess whether the switch is broken internally or just stuck in the down position? .
