Thanks for uploading!
What should I do to lower the "brightness" on the Steinway?

Ask Sysryn about that.
Seems like he did this...

I am newbie in loading new samples and using them. Can you write me please step-by-step instructions to do that?
I have tried it for a lot of times, but I have never been succesful.
Thanks again.

Btw: I have installed 64MB of RAM in my TR.

;-) Oh, I have passed through this period too

So...

1. Go to MEDIA mode
2. Locate "Stwakai.ksc" file and load it into RAM.
3. Then locate Stwakai.pcg, press OPEN on this file, go throung the directory structure and find the Patch name(s). there will be 4 or 5 names, select any of them and load into desired "cell" (overwriting the existing sound, or into D127 - no patch here)

I don't understand why...

99,9% it's a RAM memory issue.

Where did you get your RAM module(s) ?

I thought the same.
These RAMs are from my aunt's old computer. I didn't want to spend money for new modules, but suppose I'll have to.

Yeah.
But don't worry, you can buy them at very cheap price - not at KORG's store

I have bought mine on Sep-01-07 here - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0144586908

This is "trusted" seller. No problems so far.

I've got exactly the same problem as Angello, and yes, I'm using used RAM modules. I have a huge pile of them from my father's job, and all of them came from old computers. I will have to test with the other modules since it's impossible to eBay from here.

You know, it is not SO BIG problem.
I had 2 16mb RAM modules before.
A friend of mine works at the computer's store and they have many old PC parts.
He bring me a heap of the old RAM modules, from 4mb till 32mb.
Of course, I wanted to increase my Korg's RAM to maximum, but after testing all modules I found only 2 modules of 16mb which are not "scratching" after loading samples.
It means - you CAN find suitable modules among the old PC parts,
just look at the parameters.

You'll need:
16Chip Modules, Parity=NO, timing 60Ns.

By the way, who is this Elegia you play from? I'd like it a lot.

so I finally have function RAMs, but after loading this stein piano, it sounds mono. How can I make this?

//and if you can, please upload again that samples or maybe some your improved version, if you make it between time.

2 didac Thanks. It's my own improvisation. (based on some Elton John live performance)

Actually, mine, is not very clean performance...

About sf2 format, - I don't know yet. But I'll search.
And Elein a name "Elegija" I mean - Elegy. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elegy

2Angello and others
recently I have downloaded one more sample library with pianos in it, and I'll try to export it in PCG format and share.

Thanks, Dimedrol, for your interest. I've converted the multisample to sf2 using the shareware version of Awave. It sounds really OK.
