Hi Rob,

No I am not using any XRM or PRM, I am doing everything myself

I have tried the XRM and PRM but according to my experience they do very very less compared to what we can call combining set, they just (I think) copy a Style, PRF and paste it into another STY file

I am trying to do more, to show Sounds used in the style, the STS info and so on

The same way KAT2000 does

Hi Babosh,

That's fine, but since the source code for XRM and PRM would be available to you I thought it would give a good head start.

Rob

Thank you Babosh. Look forward to trying it out :)

edit: Hi Babosh, have downloaded and fired up the software. Have used the copy function to register but the program won't perform any functions. Here's a screenshot... I'm running XP Pro service pack3

Thank you very much Babosh, this is excellent progress - I note you said "first version". Initially I could not get it to run, I received an error message saying "Component MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid". I then found this article telling me how to install and register the missing file on my Windows XP system:

http://majorgeeks.com/faqshow.php?id=8

I then ran your software but cannot use it because the File -> Open SET menu item is greyed out and I can not load any files! I hope that in subsequent versions you will consider the following:

a) Fix the "open file" problem!
b) Allow several .SET folders to be opened and edited simultaneously so we can move and merge data from one to another.
c) allow editing of the Sounds used within styles to permit substitution of different Sounds from different SET files and from the factory data build instead of the ones currently assigned.
d) incorporate a list of all standard Sounds and Drumkits which are part of the Factory build for OS2 on the Pa2x.
e) allow merging of STY files from different .SET folders.
f) allow merging of PCG files from different .SET folders.
g) allow moving and renaming of sounds within STY files.
h) for any open SET files containing STY files, if sounds that they use are moved or renamed within the corresponding PCG files, automatically repair the associations/ links in the STY files.

Best regards,
Rob

Hi all,

Dear Assyrianpianist

Please take a look at the help file : http://sites.google.com/site/baaboosh/k ... edirects=0

Dear Mrniceneasy

I am sorry, but you need to register it to be able use it
I know that it is not comfortable to pay for software without trying it, but I have no other way

Dear Rob

To fix the ocx problem try this from Microsoft first, I think it will fix it: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... 662F5F62FE

Ok some of those are working and some still not working, but the development is going on
Please take a look at the help file : http://sites.google.com/site/baaboosh/k ... edirects=0

Hi Babosh, I've been checking out this thread with interest and also took a look at your software screenshots.

I only have the Pa500 at this moment in time, will this software be of any use to me or is it only designed for Pax users ?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Babosh. Sorry didn't realise that. I'll perhaps try it when it is more developed and a few review's are in. Looks like a good basis for a great program :)

Babosh,

Unless I'm missing something, nowhere on the Help file, User Agreement nor your web page is any mention of the registering process, cost, etc.
