NAMM

Post by Ahnyxrik »

Changed my mind at last minute! Instead of the money I would spend on a YAMAHA MOTIF XF6 & 1 GB FLASH, I got a brand new KORG M3 61, EXB-M256, then a KORG Z1, KORG PROPHECY & ROLAND JP-8000. If I was to buy the MOTIF XF6 I would be feeling like I could have missed out on all of these distinct collectors synthesizers!
And each of their own character & bite!('')
I am happy as all hell to have purchased the KORG M3.
Our M3 73 was just too big for us on tour. The 61 is JUST RIGHT!
Still no flash ROM, but I think I can deal with the sample load time.
Can't wait to see what is JUST over the horizon! :D
Korg Kronos w/ Uber Analog Vol. 1, Uber Americana Sample Collections, Roland Fantom X8, V-Synth, Novation K-Station

Don't be angry.
Dude it I blew that kind of cash I'd be angry too!

I would have expected 10 years of support. Similar to Kurzweil with the K series back in the day.

Not that it makes it less capable, but there's so much untapped potential the tragedy of it all is this: If they opened up the API to the machine they'd probably keep updates for the machine going forever! But Korg will never do it.
Korg: KRONOS 73, M50-61, 01W/r
Yamaha: Motif XS7, FS1R
Kawai K5000S, Roland JD-990 w/Vintage Synth

iam my self also very optimistic that korg will realese new ws and i hope it will be as warm as old korg synth ..and i am sure that this new work station will be farwhen it comes to synth engine from that cold engine of the m3 since the m3 was a complete failure from a commercial view compered to the M series ,tritotn series,or even from the i serries !!!

complete failure fro a commercial point of view?

I don't know and pesonally I don't care, I've the m3 for almost 4 years and are still excited

When I decided whether to buy m3 or motif xs I had no doubts, m3!

maybe the motif had a major commercial success, but to me I do not
sent no emotion.

Music is emotion, I do not choose based on the commercial success :D

Merry Christmas to everybody

China made its money more costly this morning.

The only people who have got money on the planet, woke up on a Sunday morning, Boxing Day,

and turned the screw on cash.

That's how 2011 is beginning.

Best wishes to everybody who is still hoping that anybody will distribute gifts and surprises at winter namm 2011 :(
