What I want improved on ims-20 version 1.5.2. :
1. When playing a song, be able to play via midi (using my clavinova piano) the synth part. Now the synth part is sequenced during a song making limited to play synth part over it.
2. During pattern recording, having the ability to use midi external keyboard to record pitch and gate. Now I have to program it with knobs and it's ultra painful. KAOSS and ims-20 keyboard can record during pattern playing but it's not convenient. Using external keyboard via midi triggers notes on the ims-20 but it's not recorded on the pattern. Somehow it was possible to do it with version 1.5.1 on the synth part.
Without these midi features, ims-20 is very limited to me: either play the synth part via midi (with sequencer turn off) or having a song playing, but then I cannot play synth part independently from sequencer with external midi keyboard.
New features you would most like in an update to the iMS-20?

Totally agree. There is the regular mode, then there is 'rec mode,' and there should be what you're describing - the combination of the two modes, a "performance mode." A mode where you can record automations over patterns in a set part of the song without altering those same patterns later on in the song. You can, as is, somewhat automate patterns by connecting the control to the voltage control and rec over several patterns fluidly assigning that voltage control to the kaoss pad. The problem is, the automation is locked to that pattern every time it plays, instead of a particular instance in the entirety of a song.
Also, I heavily if not solely rely on the ims-20 in live performances. It's a HUGE nuisance of mine that there is not an option to turn off auto play when you select a song to be loaded. As is, I have to turn down my mixer volume, load song, stop song, then turn up volume and start song. This leads to inconsistent volumes in my set.
Totally agree with the setting tempo complaints. A shift knob such as the function of it on the KP3 to adjust in full increments would be nice. If NOTHING else, make the LOW sensitivity setting that is already there in the app actually LOW enough to make adjustments efficiently.
Lastly, with the kaoss pad implementation, on the drum tracks if not all tracks have assignable XY parameters like those on the left synth pad that allow whole, 1/2, 1/4, 1/16 etc. note triggering for easy fills, much like the setup on all of your other kaoss pad products.

For now, caustic is the best you'll find on android. There is also an app from audiotool that looks great but it's only for honeycomb tablets with dual core processors. (these still have horrid audio latency but can be used as sequencers.)

2. sometimes when pattern plays - i can't play synth using MIDI keyboards.
It has somehing in common with step sequencer settings.... WTF?
3. Theres no MIDI-CLOCK input and output - I want to synchronize iMS20 (or iKaossilator) with other gear
4. No BACKGROUND AUDIO???
5. and - more detailed and friendly-written manual could be a help...

Remove all the unrealistic overlays on iMS20
Change the App so that it faithfully represents the parameters of the real MS20 and real Korg SQ10 sequencer. Remove all the other overlays except the effects section. Drop the Adium Machine too. The App is ridiculously overly complicated and will suck you into a pointless vortex of tweakable parameters which has little bearing on real analogue synthesis and sequencing and will not make you more musical! Bad job Korg. Music making does not require this over the top nerdy tweak-fest! Make this virtual synth and sequencer more real!
