I think no problem with mentioning certain Programs, Combis - for example, many demonstrators mentioned the Herbie's Butterfly EP or Jordan Rudess' Japanese Grand signature sounds.
As an independent musician (not Korg employee) who was called upon to demonstrate the Kronos I think it wouldn't be ethical/fair from me to post any part of the user documentation I saw, voice name lists etc., before the company officially releases the instrument. I don't need the mentioned "Korg Police" to know what is right to do.

My friends, I hope you understand.
What I can say, I know the OASYS sounds pretty well. Sitting down to Kronos and trying to play was a very familiar feeling for me from the first moment.

Hi, it depends on what you call a "program" (you didn't use capital P).
Programs: 1,536
One Program can include two different engines. The Programs are in 12 banks, 128 in each. There is one empty bank for 128 user Programs - however all Programs are changeable.
Combis: 480
One Combi can contain max. 16 Programs. They are also in banks with 128 slots (3 bank is full, the 4th bank contains 96 Combis). There are also 1312 empty Combi slots.
There are additional Programs and Combis on the SSD (the EXs2 Concert Grand Pianos from OASYS, the EXs3 Brass & Woodwinds and the EXs4 Vintage Keyboards).
I want to emphasize that the factory Programs and Combis above are not simple sounds, there is no useless "filling" material. All of them are professionally created and ready to use. IMHO they add a serious value to the instrument.
Additionally, there are GM sounds, a lots of Drum Kits, multisamples, wave sequences.
Moreover, the "sound" can be dramatically influenced by KARMA. Each Programs and Combis have KARMA settings. Sometimes turning it on/off results a very different sound.
Last but not least there are 185 effect types to add in a very flexible way.
The sound quality of all the above is first class, amazing.

Thank you!! This thing sounds like its going to make us forget the m3 happened.
Is there really only one bank for user samples?
That seems kind of low

Not user "samples" but Programs.
You can say it's "low" - only because the Kronos is almost full with stunning sounds. If you need more space for user sounds, you can erase the factory content - all, if you want, that will result 1,664 empty Program slots. Not low anymore.

That's really the issue, though. Folks DON'T want to erase the factory content, and DO want lots of free user memory space. Best of both worlds.
