Sweetwater Kronos 73/88 arrival date :: 6/29/2011

The inside of my 88 case falls 1/2 inch short. My Yamaha fits ok, Kronos will not. Need to be careful selecting a case and check the length is all.

Thanks for pointing this out. I have a new custom built desk for my home studio area which will house the Kronos. We were very careful with the specs for the shelf which will house my 88 K and I can't wait until it's filled.

I've only started looking at cases, and didn't really pay as much attention to the physical dimensions as to the classification by the manufacturer ("88 Key"). You've pointed out that just because the manufacturer calls it an "88 Key" size, doesn't mean it will fit all 88 key boards.

I'm also on the SW preorder list for the K88. My rep says that they are hoping to get 40 of them in July, but based on Korg's past record meeting deadlines he isn't going to believe it until they are physically on hand.

Unfortunately, I seem to be below 40 on the wait list. Would any of you gracious folks care to drop out for me?

Anyway, they'll show up or they won't. No point sweating over it. After all, I've got a table saw and a Motif XF to play with while I'm waiting...

Hopefully a few people will have bailed to the K61, I'm apparently close to the edge. But you can have a surprising amount of fun with a table saw and an XF.

thats great news.

SW and possibly other retailers may have actual confirmation that the 88's
left the port in Japan, and are in a container on the Pacific.

I hear its a 20 day voyage.

Just got my call from SweetWater!!! Kronos 88 arrives at SW on Wednesday... shipped out same day! Should have it Friday!!!

I ordered my 88 today with some small Genelec monitors. Now it is a waiting game.
