So you are saying that none of your settings are wrong and that your problem is unique.
Many users are using usb Kronos on a mac, doesn't that say something? Really, I do hope you find the problem and not just wait for the editor to fix it because it's not going to.. (Your settings are incorrect somewhere)

Probably, not the answer, but maybe try running Disk Utilities for precaution..
I couldn't leave the zone until I've tracked down the problem. Most likely a simple fix..

Well, its actually all starting to be clearer now

the little bit of recording i DID do, involved no metronome, just midi tracks being played back. (they made no audible noise)

so now im thinking its always been like this but i never noticed (even though i said midi is disabled, thats now, not then)

when i did use the metronome, i believe this is BEFORE i discovered how to use the kronos as an output device, because i did not know i had to route it in global mode, threfor the click was going out of my internal output on my mac.

so this makes sence now actually... im slowly getting back into programming instead of troubleshooting.. feels goodish man!

but if im wrong right now, i hope i can be set right.. cause this is a huge flaw if you ask me

I agree. Did I understand you correctly about recording the sound of the metronome?
Is it the Kronos or Logics metr. being recorded to Logic track?

as I said before that midi in this current project is completely 100% disabled. its logics metronome that is being re recorded

I guess its going like this.

Logics metronome + other audible tracks > Kronos USB routed to L/R > Logic recording L/R of kronos therefor re recording itself

Pretty annoying... well I just ordered the 3 space rack im using as a new computer chassis... cant wait to use my Motu 828 MkIII again :D

So Logic is recording it's own metronome to a Kronos track along with Kronos?

For the moment, take a look in Audio-Midi Setup. You see Kronos 2 in/2 out, now to the far right of that, do you have icons for the Speaker, Mic and the little finder screen? All three?

Right click it and configure it in the Kronos line along with the other 2 icons You will still hear your iTunes this way.. then see if you still record the metro..
