Been stuck on the "Finalizing Changes" screen for 15 minutes now. The 1.6 updater is running much slower than the 1.5 updater on my machine.
I'm going to bed and I'll see where the Kronos is tomorrow.
If it's still on that screen, can I get some preemptive advice on what to do?
Thanks again!

well done Korg. Nice Easter prezzie!
(Mac users)

Don't forget wit the editor, those running OSX Lion - there's a speed issue with the MIDI transfers.

"Mac OS X 10.7 Lion compatibility note:
USB MIDI OUT transfer speed is limited when using the KORG USB-MIDI Driver under Lion. Data dumps with the Editor will take longer than expected. We are currently investigating this behavior with Apple Inc."

I'm downloading now, but am I right in thinking that you just get a giant version of the Kronos screen? It would be nice if you could use the monitor acreage to see many more parameters at once, or can you have multiple pages open at once?

Not noticed anything speed wise yet. The stand alone editor seems fine... Maybe there's a problem with AU/VST integration in a DAW (too much Editor/MIDI note/CC info for the driver to handle?). I'll give it all a good going over later

thanks for the for the editor. I just installed it on my PC without problems.

In particular I like the bank manager that shows all refrences of the Programs usage and its possibility to rearrange the programs while keeping all parent/child references.

Saving the Kronos setting on the PC without the need for intermediate usage of the USB-Stick is very helpful.

Editing with the mouse allowing parameter selection and value change in one go can also be of advantage.

Korg thanks for the editor. Nice to do edits on the computer and some filemanagement.

I did some first editing. For me it's a pitty that the pulldown menus of the Kronos are not supported (yet?). So there is no function for copy a program with corresponding IFX to a combi (and al the other functions in the menus). Or to save an IFX. So in the editor you have to program al the IFX of a combi yourself. So for this function, that I use a lot, I have to edit on the Kronos.

Also I would have liked to drag and drop the slots in the setlist with a mouse. It has only the copy, past etc. functions.

Just some things to wish for in a next update.

Depends on the speed of your USB Stick. The one I used is not that fast and it only took about 30 seconds.
