I've had 1 report from a user that states that the soundset worked in 1.5, so i think you can load them. But you can always try them in memory by selecting a preset from the set within the PCG on your usb stick if you want to be sure.db1 wrote:What I wanted to find out does 1.6 have to be installed to be able to use these programs?

- Download the SpectraKinematicsQR file
- Unzip the File on your computer
- Copy the SpectraMod7QR.PCG file to an usb stick
- On the Kronos press the disk button
- select your usb drive
- load the PCG file from usb stick to the bank you like. (the default bank is U-CC)
when you have loaded the soundset you don't need to load it again.

thank you, i appreciate itmrfudge wrote:I joined this site just to say a huge huge thank you for this excellent soundset, and the previous one plus all the brilliant videos. I don't post anything online, but in this case I just had to say thank you so much.

Great!, which ones were your favorite?ed_f wrote:Spent a little more time with these over the weekend - a couple really, really awesome patches in there that will make there way into some of my projects for sure!
The reason i'm asking is the following:
Knowing which programs people like, makes it easier for me to decide what kind of sounds i'm developing for future sets. For instance if nobody likes the dance sounds or things like the wobble bass then it makes no sense to include those sounds in a future set and can be better replaced with more ambient style pads for instance.

No i didn't really considered that, but it is not that hard to do when you use the HD1 engine. So i will think about it of adding a couple of those hiphop sounds in that soundset.kenrdot wrote:I was wondering have you consderd R&B HipHop type sounds at all?
One thing that i'm working on currently (but isn't on the release list) is a soundset for popular dance music, like the sounds that armin van buuren uses. I've already programmed some fantastic dance sounds that i prefer above the sounds in my jp8080 and virus ti. So the Kronos can do great things in that area too, especially when combining them with the KARMA patterns, things get really interesting.
At the risk of incurring the wrath of the majority of the synth community, I for one would like to put in a request for the more "organic" sounds of the Kronos, with Qui's expertise being put to use to try to do his best to provide progs/combis that feature and highlight jazz/acoustic/rock elements.
Anyway, love all the sounds so far, keep up the good work.
P.S., a jazzy song, all sounds from Kronos!

I haven't downloaded the sounds yet but I plan too very soon. Amazing work!
You were asking what types of sounds people would want? I tend to write hard rock songs and also spacey Pink Floydish types of music so sounds with a lot of slow evolving motion are are always welcome.
Also, lead sounds that are clear and precise but allow a lot of expression are also good. Feedback on the ribbon for example.
Thanks again. People like you make people like us sound good!
