Thanks Martin - good to know an Intel board failed and not a Korg one :D

Inciddentally, the Intel board they used is specifically intended for embedded systems. They should be quite robus overall.

Once again, I agree 100% with you on that point. But you got your piece repaired, so you should trust it for now. If you have sleepless nights or your performance affected because you don't trust it, go for another machine.
Hey Jens, i never said i dont trust my Kronos, it whent to the repair center because of the dreaded boot faliure but after it came back it as been a rock solid machine both off and on Stage, but i think i will never shake the (expect crash feeling) that i have with computers, well i gess it's the price to pay to have a keyboard that's 10 years ahead everything else ;). Anyways 3 friends of mine already bought one because of my recomendacion and i shure dont regret endorsing such wonderfull machine ;)

Alan,

I am not sure why the use of Intel products for embedded systems would make you laugh. As I understand it, products designated for embedded systems are supported for a longer period of time than the regular products.

Is there something wrong with Intel products for embedded systems?

Excuse my mirth.
It's just a funny thing to say when I've just had a bad one.
