This is great info !!!!

thanks Sharp for sharing this information in such a clear way!

Im going to try the demo of sample extreme converter this weekend to see if it works fine for me on my system. I really see the possibilities of that program and it's probably a big time saver if i'm going to use that.

Thank you for the video.

Btw, maybe it is an idea to keep links to valuable informative posts etc in a sticky post.

slightly offtopic but can extreme sample convertor auto sample a chromatic patch ( 1 velocity level only ) from a hardware synth and convert them to a sf ? any advice on doing this as i have some Prophet 5 sounds i wanted to capture for the Kronos.

Yes, it will even midi trigger external keyboards and sample them anyway you want.
You can automate it, or do it manually.

Wow, Sharp, that worked like a charm.

Suddenly I get my stereo samples imported via sf2.
Thanks for the great instructions and the script!

Will Mac users have to get Windows to accomplish this? I presume there is no Mac equivalent solution (otherwise it would have been mentioned).

Thanks Sharp. I 'm on a Mac and tried it under Windows using VWWare. Worked fine. I'm looking for a native Mac solution but haven't found it yet.

Hi sharp,
just saw this video (finally), i'm stunned that it's so easy to create looped samples that quickly!

i've downloaded the demo and it works nice, but i can't seem to find where i can set the sample length, it always records the default of 2 seconds. That's too short to test the autoloop functionality.

Do you know where i can set the default sampling length per note?

Mac users should have no problem finding a free hex editor. It just means you will have to do the patch the manual way I show in the first video because the automated script I wrote will only work with the specific Windows Hex Editor you saw me using.

Hi qrobinez.
i can't seem to find where i can set the sample length, it always records the default of 2 seconds.
When you have the window up where you select the notes you want to sample, simply adjust the knob called “Hold” to set the length of your samples.

forgive my ignorance - I don't own and have never used Kontakt.

If I got Extreme Sample Converter, would I be able to still convert Kontakt libraries into something (presumably SF2) that could be imported into the Kronos?

I have my eye on a few items from here and would love to be able to just buy them and convert without having to purchase Kontakt (which I most likely would never actually use).

I believe you can download the player for free.

See the bottom of the page though. I don't think the free Player works with that library.

If the library is encrypted, then Kontakt is needed to run the library so Extreme Sample Converter can sample it. If the library is not encrypted, well... your laughing.

I posted something on this back at the start of this thread. CLICK HERE
