Yeah, (though the screen looked pretty responsive to me!) that's what I noticed was the screen behaviors which are missing from the Kronos. The ability to drag and slide things, the metering in performance mode, the sequencer features, and what appears to be a real editor. Those parts actually make me a bit JEALOUS as a Kronos owner!

As an M50 owner, looks like I waited a little too long to get my Kronos gig ready to retire the M50 and sell. Def gonna take a hit on the resale. Not a big deal though, it's paid for itself many times with the gigs I've done on it. Curious to see what they debut the price at.

And again Korg forgets to add GLOBAL TRANSPOSE BUTTONS GODDAMIT.

Kronos users will surely appreciate that Krome has piano roll when Kronos does not.

I mean yes, you click something and it registers immediately. I guess I mis spoke. I meant that when you touch a button, it has a transition effect. Which I think would annoy me more than just actual lag.

I love how snappy later tritons and the Kronos are.

the Krome looks like a mix between the M3 and the M50. Even the VST editor is an enhanced version of the Korg M3 vst editor (almost simular design and screens). It doesn't surprise me that the sequencer has a keyroll and the volume levels next to the faders. The M3 had this too, and it looks a lot like the M3.

M50 replacement but.... Sequencer is great ! And touchview screen is simply most responsive than ours...

Hopefully this funds the further development of the kronos. The GUI is nice and the drag and drop capability makes it more inviting.

Didn't the Trinity have something similar - even though it was a resistive screen. I'm sure that when you touched a parameter an on-screen slider popped up that you could adjust with your finger, and that was 17 years ago!

This would have been great on the Kronos.

True, but let them finish Kronos editor first ! (even Krome editor works in 64 bits and looks great !!)

Wouldn't surprise me but I think Korgs thinking is to not make one ultimate machine. Which is a pity as this kinda functionality would be great on the Kronos.

This is definitely the replacement for the M50. I don't see anything in the specs with regard to sampling. There's no MIDI through. Also, the unit connects to AC via a wall wart.

Side note: Interesting that the copy on the UK site reads, "Colorful palette of sounds" - using the US spelling of "colorful" in lieu of "colourful".
