i bought the motherboard, looked at what was involved to put it in, and decided to let the the tech do it. i followed all the protocol from posters on this forum to try and diagnose the problem with the Startup Failure.

from the users here, it looks like no one problem is the cause....it's either loose RAM, bad SATA cables, bad SSD, motherboard, or power supply.

no, i didn't do anything to screw up my Kronos. the System Startup Failure happened out of the blue and i'm just trying to find a solution.

System Startup Failure

Post by Windsofsoul »

Recently as in 2 days ago I installed the firmware upgrade for the Kronos X, which has been out for quite some time before uprading from OS 302 to 3.03. All worked well that night while working on sequences, then tonight when turning it on the red bar stopped under the first S and gave the above failure with the comment "please remove USB devices, turn off, wait and reboot. Did that, failed. Tried again... failed. So, turned it off picked it up a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch on each side and dropped it and tried again. She booted, though seemed a little slow and the SSD light started blinking about at the previous failure point. Soooooo I hope this doesn't become a habit, it sure is making me nervous. Unit has never left it's stand, nor been opened, dripped on, not even sworn at.

Tell me baby going to OK please!!!!!
