So, anyone know the names of the busty models in Poland's contribution?

If a bearded drag queen winning Eurovision is not controversial then i dunno what is mate. I think the response most of the above posters are evidence of that.
I would strongly disagree with that as we have seen Demons, Aliens, Pirates, suggested prostitution, suggested abduction, dwarfs, a puppet Turkey, suggested war, sexual preference, and countless crazy Camp acts and much more perform Eurovision for the last decade.

Here's a mixup I found on YouTube showing the kind of things we haves seen in the past.

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/3lRI5UJCHCw?rel=0" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Personally looking a a drag queen with a beard slightly turns my stomach, but that is my issue. I don't take it beyond that and express my contempt for gay people in general. The comments above equated gay people with being freaks. Some of you should obviously get out more
My issue is with your moderation or rather the lack of it here. That is what I am so disappointed in.
Point taken and I will review the comments expressed by people in this thread from your view point to get a better picture of where your coming from.

Just for the record though. Under my belief structure the same person who made me also made you and everyone else in this world. So for me it makes no difference weather your a drag queen, gay or two headed. At the most important level you are all my bothers and sisters and all I care about is weather you have a good soul as to weather I will interact with you or not in life.

So for me posting this video is not something I deem controversial in anyway at all and I will never apologise for posting the video. I take no issue with it's content as explained by my belief structure, and I do congratulate the winning country.

Might be a little pi$$ed we didn't even get to the final though...lol..

Regards
Sharp.

Yeah I see what you mean, in the light of that video this year's winner seems rather conservative. Lol.

I appreciate your detailed response, thank you Sharp.

Aside from the fact that the song wasn't that good, I don't understand why someone would be a drag queen, but then want to paint a beard on himself. If you want to be a girl, you have no facial hair (except for Italian grandmothers!); if you want to be a guy, you grow a beard...

But to be a guy who is clean-shaven but dresses up like a girl but then draws a beard on his face, well, there's far too many contradictions and "buts" there that act as distractions, and I can no longer be bothered to watch...

..Joe
Current setup: Korg Kronos 61, Roland XV-88 Korg Triton-Rack, Motif-Rack, Korg N1r, Roland M-GS64, Alesis QSR, Yamaha KX88 & KX76, Roland Super-JX, Juno-Stage, Kawai K4, Kawai K1II.

But when a person presents them to us as a performer, they are asking for some sort of acceptance. This chap seems to be asking a little too much.

Ummm, a bit like Bowie around 1971 then  (I remember the outcry due to the original cover of The Man Who Sold the World - "Man in a frock!!!... shoot the blighter!")

Conchita will be forgotten in a few months time, but you have to admit that He's got tongues wagging for reasons considered good or bad... Job done.

Don't forget that in 1998, Dana International (a Jewish Transsexual) singing for Israel won! Much better song though :)

Exactly. I had the exact same reaction then, too. Wasn't until the '80s that I would listen to Bowie.

Are you serious?
Check out Gaga, Madonna, Miley Cyrus ... the list goes on.

One thing - "he" not only won but is now internationaly recognised and constantly being talked about it seems.

If he, or his management are smart, he could be around for a long time...

:D

Well, I have no time for them, either, I think the only tune I've heard from Lady Gagger is the duet with Tony Bennett, which she does incredibly well. Yes, she *can*sing; why she doesn't is beyond me.

Madonna? Meh.

Miley Cyrus just needs to start turning tricks for 20 bucks a pop (she ain't worth more) and then she'll be doing that which it seems she really wants to be doing.

Me? I'd rather listen to a Mozart String Quartet.
