So you still didn't see that the manual gives us clear instructions to:
"Press the Write button while you press and hold down the s**t button"

Well I hate to say it but you may be right...it's poor wording on Korgs part but it looks like there are only 38 effects period for the insert and 32 effects for the Master.
One can notice in the demo we have all seen on Sonic States youtube video.

That is absolutly true...besides when you think about what effects you get in the KP3 one has to realize that a good portion of them are the same filters that you are already getting in a separate feature. Then you take out the loopers out of the KP3...all of them, cause you already get that has part of it's internal sequenced looper. Then take out all the beat sounds of the KP3 and then the patterns and then the few synths. The I think you just about 40 or 38 effects left.

The
Parameter Guide has been released. Unfortunately, in japanese language only. However, most of the headlines are english, so we can grab a little bit more details than before. EDIT: English languaged tables with all included osc models, modulation macros, patterns, effects etc. can be found at the end of the PDF

Nice selection of instruments. Would be cool to know which one are PCM samples and which one from Synth Engine. Obviously waveforms at the end are from synth engine, but mayby somebody who is familiar with KingKorg can open up this list more.

edit: okay, I got it. so it must be that all the instruments labeled as "synth" are coming from synth engine (instruments 326-380)...stooopid me

You can use google translate to translate the pdf to english. It works suprisingly well.

That's true. Regarding the synth area, everything seems to be good. I'm curious if more than one modulation macro can be used simultaneously within one part. On the other side, no positive surprises regarding the crippled sequencer area.

Well the pads are touch sensitive & just that is an improvement. In theory we get better expression than all previous models. As for the number of steps, i somehow think it'll be a cool box even with just 4.

Doesn't look like it, but hard to say for sure until we get an English version. Not seeing anything in the menus that seems to indicate you can though.
