It looks like just a controller. But if not it could give the octatrack some competition. I loveeee all this new competition in the audio toy market. God bless capitalism.

It's not. It's a stand-alone workstation with synths, sampling, 150 effects and sequencing, with velocity-sensitive pads with aftertouch. The black version, shaped the same, with the platter is a DJ-style controller for software. The two are meant to fit together into a kind of "figure 8" and I read today on a Russian website that you can "flip" the button configuration for either right-handed or left-handed use, which is why it is shaped this way.
