exactly - i will never upgrade, unless the PA4x comes with:
1. 64 bit processor
2. able to handle more that 4 GB of sample RAM
Looking at the current smart phone technology, a $200 phone has 64 bit snapdragon processor and 4 GB ram.. Why can't Korg do that? Why are they still sticking with age old 32 bit intel processor and boards?
To be fair, the $200 phones you buy from a wireless company are actually $600 phones marked down so that you'll do the 2-year contract.
A 64-bit processor only makes sense if they are expanding the RAM. There are other benefits to going 64-bit, but most of them have to do with encryption and with graphics.
I'd rather they take the PA4X more along the Kronos route and go with a PC architecture and an SSD. Probably wouldn't need more than 4 GB RAM at that point.

there are n number of benefits for 64 bit PC architecture. It can use more RAM, I want to use at least 16 GB of RAM. Also, i think it's high time for KORG to start using VST in their keyboards. I dream about using high quality VST in my keyboard.

I just bought another PA3X, so for sure the replacement will here very shortly!
