I know its off topic but not having been a ES2 owner before I'm wondering what sample editors you guys use? I wanna start loading this thing up! I'm on a Mac.

I've found this one but it seems a bit expensive (plus I've paid this guy for Electrify on iPad before and his products very soon become abandonware).

Not free, but Triumph is a great editor, and you get a lot of nice tools in that package too.

I tested the hack on my Sampler using the same files. It works fine.
The caveat: Most of the fixed E2 pcms are missing and from the Synth OSC there's no Boost-Saw and none of the Syn-Sine. The rest works, even the filtertypes.
Summary: E2S owners don't gain anything usable. E2 owners now have two machines to their preference. I'm thinking about replacing my E2S with an E2. GG Korg, GG!!!!

Is there a preferred file structure for the folders?

Since I didn't format the card under the sampler OS, I had to make manual folders. The system folder is fine since I loaded the OS from there, but where do I put my blank all samples file? In a folder called Samples, or Sample? Root of card, or in electribe sampler folder?

Basically I'm asking sample people what their card looks like when formatted by the sampler.

Which could mean the e2 PCM - including some OSC - are stored in ROM somewhere.
Would both units not be identical, hardware wise, after all?

Another puzzler: The pre-500 oscillator slots are usually taken up by the factory samples. If you're a blank INIT man like myself, you have no interest in the factory sounds.

Since I'm running a blank samples file, I assumed the pre-500 bank would be available. Not the case? I thought sampler people could use them if they erased the samples. I have no samples to erase. Are they "taken" by the dormant e2 PCMs?
