yes, I have never really understood his position on this issue...

he is clearly linked to Korg, but it does not prevent to be objective (I think ...)

he has reacted a lot when the "hack" was released, saying it was not fair to do that, especially for the electribe sampler which was not yet completely finished.. blablabla..
except that, since this day, we did not see coming anything ...
did they really plan something?
did they decide to "punish" (which would be totally stupid and puerile) all users of the Electribes because of this "hack"?

in any case, we can conclude something : they are clearly aware that these products are not finished ....
(even if they do not clearly admit it)

Thanks for that anyways!

Seems that Nick Batt has broaden up the context into the Sonicstate article and the line that catches the attention is:

"Indeed Korg have said that they are committed to the advancement of the Electribe 2 OS. Its just that things aren't moving as fast as existing owners and presumably perspective purchasers would like."

He doesn't specify he has been contacted from Korg, which he would do if that was the case, but this makes me think that maybe he was asked from them unofficially to soften it up a bit and give a bit of hope. All speculations though... Anywas none of the sharpness from the petition is lost , even the opposite - he even further underlines that the requests are realistic.

In your opinion how much signatures we should reach for this petition appears credible to Korg?

The Tempest petition that had resulted in Dave Smiths response and a new firmware update, had 778 supporters.

But DS Instruments is a much smaller company, with just a few products in the pipeline. Korg meanwhile – almost everything, from guitar tuners, digital pianos to a dozen of iOS apps.

Anyway - every vote counts. Don't focus on how many votes we have. Just cast your vote if you feel its right. Share the petition link where you think its appropriable. What else can you do?

You're right

(maybe I want too much that this petition leads us to something real...

haha, Mistabishi has deleted his rant about the petition from his fb profile - seems that he has been instructed by his employers, same story as the poor admin guy of the fb group.

Would be great if the petition included 'please fix the synced delay bug introduced a few versions ago'. Specifically, if you are synced to MIDI clock, the delays don't sync until you vary the external tempo by greater than 1BPM. If you're working from a stable clock base this is a PITA.

I reported to Korg over a year ago and sent a video. They did acknowledge but since then, well, you know...
