NOT ENOUGH MEMORY

Post by ebuzer52 »

Hi my friends, my korg disk is 1gb and empty. I saved my set to korg disk. its almost 800 mb. so there is 200 mb for free. Than i added a sound to my set its only 3 mb. so my set became 803 mb. now i am trying my 803 mb set onto the 800 mb set which in korg disk. its turning approximately 2 minutes and says “Not enough memory”. But there is still 200 mb free space when i checked device info from right corner? i tested another small mb set and the issue occurred too. do you have any idea?

"adding" to your SET on the KORG DISK is not as simple as "filling up the spare space".

The OS will need additional space in order to effectively update the various components of the SET, hence it may well need more than the spare 200MB.

As you have a SET almost the size of the 1GB SSD (KORG DISK) I recommend that you save your SET to a USB/HDD first, clear the KORG DISK and then copy it to the KORG DISK.

Cheers

Below describe bug refers to version 3.1. 0.
First initialize the songbook, next add very first record to the songbook based on mp3 or SMF or style. Push WRITE button. The instrument will restart suddenly.
Record will be preserved in the songbook database.
Adding next records run without problems.

Exactly. After Initialize sonbook and the first time Pa4x restarts.

And I have 76 keys with a hard disk. Sometimes after starting the instrument, the instructor cannot see the HD disk - the instrument has to be restarted.

the instructor cannot see the HD disk - the instrument has to be restarted.
Check the HDD for corruption - maybe perform a low-level format (removed from PA4X).
If, when you performed the SONGBOOK entry save, the HD had a problem then it is quite likely the PA4X might reboot.

Good luck

Restart when saving the first song to SONGBOOK is not a HD problem. There is no problem with OS 3.0.1. Checked on several instruments.

I have a new Pa4x - bought in October. I have to rip everything and make the format - but in my opinion it's an OS problem.

Today there is a problem with HD again.

Only today I noticed that HD is visible but as USB.

I took a picture, and the second picture after restart, everything returned to normal. In my opinion 100% is a system flaw.

Hi everyone,
Owner of a Pa4X-76 since July 2017, I am now using it more deeply and intensively since November 2019 (creating sequence, sampling, etc. instead of "just" playing by using styles).
Unfortunately, I have encountered three critical issues since beginning of January (based on v3.1.0 of the OS):
- 1st time = I was browsing a large MP3 (3 hours) in SONG mode. I know that, when you fast forward or fast backward a MP3, the OS needs several seconds (10~20 seconds) to be able to do another operation on the player on which the MP3 is loaded (play, forward, rewind, etc.). During this delay, I was playing on the upper part of the keyboard (layers UP1 + UP2). But, while I was playing, the OS becomes totally freeze and sustained the last keys pressed right before it was frozen.
I tried to wait 10~20 seconds, change songbook entry, press the damper pedal (because I already seen in SEQUENCER mode that, sometime when you edit the events of a track, the notes are sustained for an obscure reason and pressing the damper pedal fix the problem whereas the problem never appeared outside of the SEQUENCER mode). I finally had to power down, then power up the keyboard to fix this.
- 2nd time = I was loading a songbook entry when I received a warning message: "Entry not loaded, you pressed button too fast" (or something similar). Then, while I was loading another songbook entry, the keyboard restarted itself!
- 3rd time = I was editing a song in the SEQUENCER mode, then I saved it, went back to the SONG mode, then back to the SEQUENCER mode (because I had forgotten something), and when I tried to load the song that I just saved, the file was empty! (fortunately, I had a backup on a separated USB key). When I went back to the SONG mode and start to play the upper part of the keyboard (layers UP1 + UP2). But, while I was playing, the OS becomes totally freeze and sustained the last keys pressed right before it was frozen.
I tried to wait 10~20 seconds, change songbook entry. I finally had to power down, then power up the keyboard to fix this.

For now, I can't reproduce it systematically for sure but it happened too many times during the past 20 days.
As mentioned previously, I am running OS Next v3.1.0 and I did a factory restore right after the upgrade.
Before, I owned a Pa3X-76 and I encountered several issues but never something so critical. Moreover, I am currently preparing a lot of songs for May and I am really worry about the bad reliability of this OS version.

Does any OS update scheduled before May 2020?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

PA4X 76 International - NEXT-V3.1.0 ...PAD problems

Post by inox »

Multi PAD problems
1.
No Multi Pad Synchronous Start.
Multi Pad cannot be started
automatically at the start of Style.
2.
When using the SET List, switching from SET1 to SET2 stops Multi Pad playback. Multi Pad playback stops when any SET is called.
