Hi Tyrone,
Not my cuppa tea, that particular style, but you have some great sounds working there, excellent quality. I've been a Logic guy for a few years now, and there are some brilliant synths in the Pro bundle. Heck, even GarageBand's "watered-down" versions of Logic instruments smoke through a good sound card and some decent monitors.
I'm afraid I share Nedim's hardware disease though (the-more-hardware-synths-you-can-get-yer-grubby-mitts-on-the-merrier syndrome). Except some of his are cooler than mine, so I gotta look harder and spend more to stay in the game!
Yeah, you pretty much got me pegged me as an old school old guy (I'm 50 now). Softsynths (and Logic in particular) are awesome and I like to use them, but I've always liked having a room full of keyboards all MIDI'd together and bopping around from one to the other like a happy little butterfly, picking up a bit of audio pollen here and dropping a bit there. It's so relaxing and inviting just watching all the pretty lights glowing, flashing, synchronizing, plus when you've got 4 or 5 people over everyone gets in on a piece of the action. As long as you remember to keep the sequencers and DAWs running (and in sync), there's no telling what you might end up with.
The Motif XS' sequencer is much more than a sketchpad to me BTW, it's more like a revelation. The M3's sequencer is not a revelation to me as such, but its roots are firmly planted in good old tried, tested and true soil and makes recording M3 Karma bits as easy as one could hope.
Yeah, I've poked fun at what the M3 can and cannot do, but it is what it is - a unique take on the workstation concept. Now, once they upgrade the ROM with a couple hundred extra MB of decent acoustic sounds, it will be a much more complete instrument, but it is unique, I will say that much.
Us 50 year olds begin to wander after a spell... I'll shut up now

I bow to you Nedim!!!
You are the hardware/software MAN! I love NI MASSIVE, and it sure is that, isn't it - MASSIVE I mean - but damn it's processor intensive. (Plus it's ultra low aliasing too, which I hear some people say is a good thing).
I think NI had to make it low-aliasing to avoid blowing speaker cones around the world.
Who cares about MASSIVE's processor neediness though... legend has it that one MASSIVE note played through an errant walkman earbud knocked Pluto right out of orbit during beta tests.
Imagine if one MASSIVE note hit Uranus... oh the humanity!!!

Well there is one ENSEMBLE since REAKTOR 2 called URANUS, i love it...

A more general question is "How will the PC3 compare with other workstations from Korg, Yamaha, and Roland"?
I don't think people will really be able to answer this question until the PC3 has been released and people have a chance to demo it against other products.
Also, there really may be two questions:
1. How will the product compare with other products?
2. How will the product do in the marketplace compared to other products?

Martin,
there really may be two questions
Maybe a third: How well will Hyundai get behind Kurz.?

Yes, I think that is more of a long term question.
Unfortunately from what I have read over at the Kurzweil forums, none of these Korean companies seem very interested in investing money for new synth development.

And TV does that, first of all he doesnt know that 80% of the guys
on TV SHOWS dont even play those synths, the synths are OFF
yeah... since music in U.S. doesn'teven have keyboards/workstations involved , like in the rest of the world...
Only Guitars, Guitars ... (and Bass and Drums)
Most people in U.S. here call Workstations A "piano"..
btw.. Stop arguing people and go make some music..
In general:KORG is better as a Worksation, Kurzweil is better as Keyboard

Hmmmm...actually, I prefer the keyboard on the M3 to any of the Kurzweils I've played.
Personal preference.

I think you didn't get what Vadim saied... or maybe it's me... but I think that Vadim saied something like: korg is better as a workstation (studio purpouse) and kurzweil is better as a keyboard (something you can play in live situation)... but maybe I didn't understand what he means and you're right...
anyway if you're talking about keybeds... the M3 is really similar to the k2661.

WOW!!!!! I like you Nedim!!! I think my screen name says enough! I have been using this name for over 8 years now! All I have to say on this topic is They are all good, they are all different. Its a matter of opinion! I think Kurz is the best all around workstation, But my Oasys does stuff better than my V-synth. My V-synth does stuff better than my K2600. My K2600 does stuff better than my Motifes. My Motif deos stuff better than my Oasys. My oasys does stuff better than my ZR-76. My ZR-76 does stuff better than my Motif. Do you see what I am getting at!???

BTW, I have 3 K2661's in stock. Anybody want a sweet deal, PM Me!! Jim

You have actually got some software!
I don't think your collection is as current or update as mine:
Logic Pro - with Apogee Ensemble, Lacie.....
Motu Mach 5 v2 - just got this, and it is stunning: 32 GB library (including a 9 GB VSL orchestra)
Waves Gold Native
Sonnox (Sony Oxford) Inflator
Waves SSL 4000 Collection - I am really surprised you haven't got this.
PSP Vintage Warmer
NI Reaktor
East West Fab Four
East West Quantum Leap Pianos - Now a lot of people have been saying the "tiny" Kurzweil have good sounds, but wait until you hear this 250GB monster roar, the only thing that surpasses this is a real Bosendorfer.
Reason 3 - going to get rid of this soon as its sounds totally out of date compared to my other stuff.

it seems many people here doesn't understand what a keyboard is for... try to play live with all that software and let me know how is working for you... and how much did you pay for a pc capable to run so heavy software and all that software together...
you have miss the point...

I got it....I just disagree with it, so I responded with a joke.
