Sandeep,

With a good aircraft quality flight case, packed with foam so the Pa800 can not move, your Pa800 will not be damaged in transit. My Pa1x Pro was shipped 1300 miles over land and sea in a Lorry between the UK and Corfu. It crossed the English Channel, the Alps, went via ferry from Venice across the Mediterranean, and up some pretty steep and bumpy mountains in Corfu before arriving safely here. If it went faulty I would not hesitate to pack it in its flight case and send it by lorry to the Uk for repair.

I cannot believe the hauliers in India are any worse than the companies here. I think the Greeks tried pretty hard to smash my computers, Pa1x keyboard etc but they were all packed in foam inside hard cases and the worst that happened was the reinforced metal on the corner on one hard case was dented.

Best regards,
Rob

Dear Pa800 Owners,

After analyzing a few cases, we discovered that the problem of disappearing Sample RAM is due to a fault of the internal 64MB RAM memory module. This should be rare, but might happen, due to the nature of RAM manufacturing processes.

It took us some times to catch it out, since the problem showed up just in a few models. It is important to note that Pa2X is not affected by this issue, but only Pa800.

We added a FAQ to our web site, explaining how to check if you Pa800 does show this issue or not, and how to solve it:

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Mr Paolo,

If this does not affect the pa2x, how come it freezes when importing a multisample in sampling mode? I'm not the only one with this problem. almost EVERYONE i spoke to that has the pa2x is experiencing this. For example I load a 64MB SET, then try to import a 3MB Multisample, it freezes while trying to load it. I have to restart the machine. It is impossible to add any samples.
A friend of mine in France returned his for a refund.
