I have received some invaluable information from other helpful Oasys users on this Forum over the last couple of years so thanks to all for that.

A great shame Mike Molloy isn't actually with Korg UK any more. He spent many (patient) telephone hours helping me set up the Oasys for live use. Can't thank you enough Mike.
Hi Tony

How are you? Thanks for your kind words. Send me a private message on here and ill give u my email address.

come on...

posting here is about telling friends "come on, let's do it. let's count how many appreciate this".

Among others, making it public is a statement to Korg as well.

And above all... you didn't start a parallel subscription for a parallel website, so...

... don't expose me as the resident "drill sergeant"

come on you effin' faggots!

do you want to take your money with you in the grave or what?!?

Your pimp left you pennyless?!?

Wake up, rise and shine, you Sissies, smell the coffee,

and get those credit cards out.

Now, you useless piles of junk, chant:

This is my credit card. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.

My credit card is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my credit card is useless. Without my credit card, I am useless.

I must fire my credit card true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy, who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my credit card and myself are defenders of my country, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace.

Amen.

I was not planning on making any comment on this thread, but in my view making a donation is a personal thing, if people want to do so (make the donation) they do not need to brag about it publicly should they choose not to, just go ahead do it and move on. No need for fanfare, or chest-thumping.....

And Korg would not give a rats fart about whether people donate or not, or if this forum closes or not.

The only people who care about those issues are us!!

Oh noooo, this Kronos virus is spreading over the entire forum ;)

Sorry couldn't resit. Back OT:

Well if everyone here thinks about the time and costs he had spend if the solution to every issue with Korgs products would have relayed only on Korg's support, there is no need to argue any more about donations to this forum.

If Korg doesn't want to support here, that is their problem, not ours!
It's independency from Korg is the warrant for this forum to be the best resource about Korg products.

Rob Sherratt wrote:Hi Mike,
The fact that there is no donation or comment on behalf of Mr Kato is a disgrace. On this thread, three people who are now Lionstracs distributors have contributed our own cash to keeping this forum running. Sharp, now also a Lionstracs distributor and my business partner, is currently holding the baby with no one else prepared to step in. How can Korg just see all this going on and not step in with a reasonable offer to secure the forum for the future?
I was going to stay silent, but things have recently gone a tad too far for my taste. So, In the interest of being completely honest, what you said is not entirely true. I offered to host KF for free at least twice in the past. And again, in the interest of keeping this forum alive, I'm offering to do that yet again. I would be glad to. And btw, even with that, I feel that KF is big enough to be paid for - for a small monthly or yearly fee per user.

P.s. No ulterior motives here. Yes, I know it's not about me.

Totally agree with that vEddy...An annual small subscription fee...NO problems from me on that at all.

If all members paid the sub of say, what, 10 Euros per year?? Thing is I really would not want to see a corporation take over the forum. The way James has it running as totally independent - PERFECT!!

So we should all support this ideal for an "untied" forum...

Maybe vEddy, you could set up a poll so James could get an idea of the support for a small annual fee??

Dennis

PS: I have just set up the poll:

Another big advantage of having a reasonable subscription fee is that it would eliminate all the spammers who come here, since they won't do so if it costs any money which they will lose when they get permabanned. This will probably reduce the administrative overhead effort to keep banning them and deleting all their spam posts, or at least make it profitable if they do.

I'm happy this forum is
1) free of charge to use
2) free of advertising
3) independent
Thus I'm happy to donate. :D

And I think it's good to have a thread like this one (as long as it stays on topic ) in which members - who want to! - can document their willingness to support KF not only with their advice but also financially in order to encourage others and demonstrate the strength of the community. 8)
